Disneyland hosted the D23 First Anniversary Party this evening celebrating exactly one year since the launch of the "Official Online Destination for Disney Fans."

We were happy to be among the attendees of this evening and had a blast enjoying the drinks and desserts as well as mingling with various Guests at the party including Richard Sherman, Tony Baxter, and Bob Gurr! Some rarely seen Disney characters were also available for pictures including the Three Little Pigs, Jiminy Cricket, and Maleficent!

Oh yea and Fantasyland rides with less than 10 minute waits (yes, even Dumbo and Peter Pan) was a nice little perk too! Captain Eo was also open for the evening!

D23 just announced its latest members-only event on its first anniversary, DESTINATION D. The inaugural DESTINATION D, whose theme is “Disneyland ’55,” will be held this Sept. 24-25. DESTINATION D: Disneyland ’55 will take D23 Members on a journey through the design, creation, debut and magical history of the world’s first Disney theme park. The first DESTINATION D will be held in the Grand Ballroom of the Disneyland Hotel.

Tickets will be available this summer.

As we coyly mentioned a few months ago, a dual-coast pass is now available allowing entrance to both Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort. DisneyParks Blog just announced that a new Premium Annual Pass for admission to the parks at both Disneyland Resort and the Walt Disney World Resort will be offered beginning Thursday.

It’s called “Disney Premier Passport” and it will feature the same benefits you get with the “Premium” Annual Passes for Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resorts for $700, plus applicable sales tax.
