A petition has been filed to President Obama to request that this year's pardoned turkey not be sent to Disneyland in California but instead be sent to the Farm Sanctuary in Watkins Glen, N.Y.

A recent quote, shared SlashFood.com, by Farm Sanctuary president and co-founder Gene Baur regarding Disneyland Resort stated that "At Disneyland they don't' know how to properly care for them [and that] at least half of the turkeys that have been sent to Disneyland have died within one year of arrival."

It not only takes a special personality but exceptional physical endurance to be an entertainment Cast Member at the Disneyland Resort, and thanks to an athletic trainer program, through a partnership with St. Joseph Hospital in Orange, the “Happiest Place on Earth” is one of the healthiest places to work.

One of my favorite Pixar movies, nearly eight years to the date, Monsters, Inc and now I have the joy of owning it on a FANTASTIC Special Blu-Ray Edition. This edition of Monsters, Inc includes FOUR discs: a two-disc Blu-Ray set, a DVD copy, and the now obligatory Digital Copy of the movie. While I still say it’s silly to include the DVD since you won’t be able to enjoy all of the features, I suppose it’s still a nice feature to have in case you know you will be upgrading to Blu-ray.
