I saw this today. It's basically just one of those super-splash-things. I haven't been on it, but SD's version seems like Pirates compared to this...

Once again, Seaworld, nice work drinking and attempting to come up with new rides.

After riding San Diego's Craplantis, you walk off confused. For this one, you walk off insulted and offended.

If you guys actually took the time to look up the ride system, you would know that this is the first of its kind.

The Journey to Atlantis experience will begin with sixteen passengers boarding boats. Traveling uphill, the boats spin on a turntable when they reach the first plateau, rotating up to 360 degrees. Riders will experience a breathtaking view of San Antonio and SeaWorld from atop their 100-foot-high viewpoint. The boats will spin into position on the turntable, and then be propelled backwards down a reverse camelback. At the crest of the second hill, the boats rotate again before plunging down the final hill and splashing into a lake and through geysers and water spouts. The experience lasts 3 1/2 minutes.

Built by Mack GMBH, a German ride manufacturer, Journey to Atlantis is the first of its kind in the United States. A similar ride by the same manufacturer is featured at Germany’s Europa Park.

See... no clones or budget cuts. Sea World is just using the same name. I think this ride is very unique. Disneyland hasn't used a new ride system in almost 10 years. I also feel the themeing in atlantis is very well done. The story line could use a little work, but other than that this is a very fun attraction.

I know I seem harsh, but I'm a huge sea world lover.
