MouseInfo was recently invited to Universal Studios Hollywood's annual Day of Giving last week where the park's "Giving is Universal" program provided hundreds of underprivileged Los Angeles children with clothes, shoes, books and school supplies, before giving them a day of fun in the world-famous studio park!
The Disney Holidays are in full swing at the Disneyland Resort now through January 6, 2015 and this past weekend we were in the parks to take a look at the goings on! Life got a bit in the way so we're delayed in presenting those pics. Please enjoy.

In response to many members not being able to bring their children to D23 events, a new tier of membership has been introduced for fans of Disney D23: D23 Gold Family Membership. The new level allows these members to bring up to 3 guests with them to events.
What might be a bigger deal for other fans/members is that effective immediately Disney is no longer allowing renewals or new memberships of Silver level membership. Those who have Silver membership (including those who bought it prior to today's announcement) will still have their membership honored after which point they can upgrade to Gold.
This Saturday, the Walt Disney Family Museum is holding a special event exploring the secrets of Disney Movie Magic. John Canemaker, author of The Lost Notebook: Herman Schultheis and the Secrets of Walt Disney's Movie Magic, explores the fascinating mechanical and optical processes that enabled the Disney artists to delight the eye, as detailed in a recently discovered notebook compiled by photographer and effects specialist Schultheis during his 1938-41 tenure at the Disney studio.

The Disney Holidays at the Disneyland Resort are taking place now through January 6, 2014. You can mosey on over to the Jingle Jangle Jamboree at the Big Thunder Ranch where a host of holiday merriments are available.
Reindeer Games, crafts and activities plus Christmas cookie decorating are some of the treats you an enjoy here. The highlight, of course is getting the chance to Meet Santa. Plus, Mickey and a few of his pals are dressed in their cheerful holiday best as part of the celebration.
The Kenneth Branagh directed live-action retelling of Disney's CINDERELLA is just a few months away and Disney has begun to let audiences into the new world of one of the most cherished Disney princesses with a new trailer, poster and stills.
The payoff poster, featuring Lily James as Cinderella, was photographed by Annie Leibovitz exclusively for the film’s campaign. Additional photos by Annie Leibovitz featuring the cast from the film can be seen in the costume feature of Vogue magazine’s December issue, on stands now.

Earlier today, we got to meet SADNESS from the upcoming Pixar animated flick INSIDE OUT with a new teaser poster and clip. Now we have a look at posters for all five of the new character emotions that fill the head of the film's protagonist Riley. The full set of bright new posters feature JOY (Amy Poehler), FEAR (Bill Hader), ANGER (Lewis Black), DISGUST (Mindy Kaling) and SADNESS (Phyllis Smith).

It's been 86 years that the world has known the every-guy personality of Mickey Mouse. On November 18, 1928 he made his debut in "Steamboat Willie" in New York and has since become one of the most recognizable figures in pop-culture around the world.
Of course, a lady never tells her age but today is also the same anniversary of Minnie Mouse who debuted with Mickey in the very same cartoon. Although the two are credited with making their official debuts in "Steamboat Willie" the short is actually the third Mickey Mouse cartoon. INSIDE OUT has begun to release more marketing materials in anticipation of next year's animated release from PIXAR. In the new materials we meet the adorable SADNESS.
She might not spark much excitement just yet but after clips shown at the D23 Expo last year, it seems the emo emotion voiced by actress Phyllis Smith will be one of the breakout stars of the film's eclectic cast.

The Avengers Half Marathon Weekend hit the Disneyland Resort this weekend and it brings with it the debut of two characters: Black Widow and Hawkeye. The stars of the hit THE AVENGERS and upcoming THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON were greeting the participants of the runDisney event today.
Captain America and Thor who have been greeting guests at Disneyland Innoventions for the past several months are also on-hand during the event. It seems the Iron Man and Hulk are out busy keeping the world safe for now. The appearance of those characters is on the horizon, though.

The yearly tradition of lighting the facade of the Small World Holiday attraction took place once again this past week officially kicking off the #DisneyHolidays for the 2014 season at the Disneyland Resort.
Disneyland Resort Ambassador Sachi White welcomed the Maya Gallardo and her family to the stage to help officiate the lighting moment. No Disney celebration is complete with out a couple of Disney pals so Mickey brought Pluto and Goofy on stage to help light the grand facade of the attraction.
