This morning I had the opportunity to cover the first ever, Disneyland Half Marathon Welcome Event at Disney California Adventure. At past runDisney events, the first day usually has a Disney Parks Blog meet-up for guests to have a warm up run, and meet with the professional team for runDisney. This year however, runDisney made the event a hard ticketed event.
The event cost $89 and featured an official sizzle video on the World of Color Mist screens, Questions and Answer sessions from Runner's World Magazine including a warm up. A brief run around Paradise Pier, a ride on SOARIN' OVER CALIFORNIA, an early entry into the Official runDisney Merchandise area at the Health and Fitness Expo, and a gift bag that included the Runner's World Magazine, and a runDisney tech shirt.
Overall, I feel like people enjoyed themselves but were a little let down by the price. At the end of the event a lot of people were complaining that all they got was the clear bag they got when they get their bib. Others thought breakfast would be served. It would have been nice, since the free Parks Blog Event seem to offer more. But it was a great event for people to get advice from the experts on a more personal level.

As the head of animation for Paperman, Osborne is no stranger to the format of an animated short and he took some time to go through the ins and outs of bringing the film to screen. FEAST is the story of one man’s love life as seen through the eyes (and stomach) of his best friend and dog, Winston.
