As a multi-media conglomerate, the Walt Disney Company arguably has some of the world's most sought after media. This is no secret to Disney and so figuring out the right (read: most profitable) ways to share the media with consumers is always top of mind for the company.
Disney Twenty-Three Magazine will be helping to celebrate Disneyland's 60th Anniversary with the brand new summer edition of the magazine. Readers will be able to enjoy an inside look at the new parade, and enhancements coming to Disneyland for its Diamond Celebration.
Also, in this issue, Leonard Maltin gives a behind-the-scenes look at Disney’s three big summer movies featuring exclusive interviews with Tomorrowland director Brad Bird, Inside Out director Pete Docter, and Ant-Man director Peyton Reed. Although completely non-descript, Nintendo and Universal Studios recently announced a collaboration for new dedicated experiences and attractions based on beloved Nintendo games, characters, and worlds in the Universal theme parks.
It is expected that the new experiences will begin to appear and replace the Kid Zone section of the Universal Studios Florida theme park vs. an all new world but in a world where flying wizards and oversized gorillas all intermingle, you never know what could be on the way... storming Bowsers Castle? On a quest for Zelda's ocarina?
Although rumors swirl that Nintendo's presence could mean the end of Universal Orlando's Marvel attractions, that is definitely not the case. Reliable sources indicate that new Marvel attractions are planned for Universal's Islands of Adventure in the next 3-5 years, as their contract for Marvel rights is perpetual.
Look for Nintendo attractions to start to appear at Universal Studios Florida, Hollywood and Japan within the next few years.

Julie Andrews and her daughter, Emma Walton Hamilton are developing a new animated preschool Television series based on their #1 bestselling book series THE VERY FAIRY PRINCESS. The Very Fairy Princess franchise, which is part of The Julie Andrews Collection, and published by Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, first launched in 2010.
The animated TV series will focus on Geraldine, for whom being a very fairy princess is less about appearances than it is about knowing what makes your heart sing, and having the courage to share that with others. Slated to launch on air in 2016, the series will be jointly developed with Andrews and Walton Hamilton and produced at Nelvana Studio in Toronto.
While most of the focus has been on Disneyland for its upcoming 60th Anniversary, Disney California Adventure is getting in on the action as well. When the Diamond Celebration kicks off May 22, the popular MAD T Party will rock again.

It's been a while since our last in park pictorial (life will do that, sometimes) but our visit yesterday was as fruitful as it was tiring! Apart from covering the Blue Carpet World Premiere of the new TOMORROWLAND film due out in theaters May 22 (more on that soon), we walked around both parks for an ongoing look at new construction and refurb projects.
The real reason for visiting though was for a look at the highly anticipated Hatbox Ghost (more here) who not so quietly made his debut yesterday at Disneyland's Haunted Mansion. The creepy figure of fan legend made his triumphant return much to the applause of Disney fans across the social media sphere.
We also took some time to just ENJOY the parks and even stopped to enjoy the Pixar Play Parade and take in a couple of rides (other than the 6 we took on the Haunted Mansion, that is!) So sit back and relax as we take you to Disneyland!byPublished on 05-10-2015 12:00 PM
Disney recently unveiled a new TOMORROWLAND EXCLUSIVE MOVIE SNEAK PEEK at Disneyland showcasing a 20 minute look at the new film. The preview is in essence an edited down version of the film's opening act and then it ends with a trailer.
The venues 4D capabilities are used subtly in sync with the film including rumbling, water splash, fans, and lights.
For fans of the 1964 World's Fair, there is a good bit of it shown in the film's opening and a new display at the Disneyland exhibit features several pieces of the artwork created to support the recreation of the idealized 1960s vision of the future.

In case you missed it, the Haunted Mansion's most infamous resident finally made himself visible yesterday. After so many years of rumors and debate, a brand new Hatbox Ghost figure made its debut in Disneyland's Haunted Mansion.
