Periwinkle character is coming to Disney Parks to promote "Secret of the Wings"

Periwinkle is debuting in "Secret of the Wings," the newest film in the Disney Fairies franchise and Walt Disney World is currently casting auditions for the character. She is a winter talent fairy that shares a lot of similarities with Tinker Bell and the two become fast friends.

The casting description for Periwinkle is very slender, sweet, curious, eager, friendly. This is in contrast to Tinker Bell (who they are also casting auditons for) who is listed as sassy, feisty, playful and fun. Both roles are in the 4'11" - 5'2" height range.


Last August, we shared news about "Secret of the Wings" which will be the fourth full-length Disney Fairies film to be released for home entertainment. It is also the first Disney Fairies film to ditch the TINKER BELL prefix to allow for emphasis on broader stories from Pixie Hollow.

Disney Secret of the Wings is set for a home-release on October 23, 2012.
