• TravelEAR Abroad: Welcome to the Vineyards!

Welcome back, travelEARS! Our look at Disney California Adventure reminiscent hotels continues this week as we look at Les Jardins de Saint Benoit.

Though the French name might make you think twice about the connection to Anaheim’s theme park, once you see the hotel, you will know exactly how it is related.

Located in the middle of a jungle of vines and olive trees, Les Jardins de Saint Benoit provides a beautiful and romantic place to spend the night. Rather than having a one or two main lodges, this hotel offers something really unique: a village of small houses for you to stay in, referred to as “maisons vigneronnes” ( or winemaker’s homes).

The village aspect of this hotel provides a unique community feel and works to make you feel like you are staying in a home away from home. Each house contains three to five bedrooms and a living area, a dining area, a kitchen, and private terrace. Some houses also feature pools, alongside the main pool facility the hotel has. Just follow the cobblestone streets to reach it in the middle of the complex.

This hotel has something for everyone. Younger kids will get a kick out of the petting zoo, while older kids can go fly fishing in the local river or garden in the medieval garden. For adults, tennis facilities and spa treatments are a great option. And don’t forget about the fruit and wine tastings!

See you next week as we continue to take you, the TravelEAR, Abroad.
