There’s Lots To Do In Cars Land’s Queues

Meredith Lyn Pierce, author of “Lots To Do In Line: Disneyland,” has released a free downloadable PDF to help parents and others cope with the mega-lines created by the popularity of the new Cars Land attraction at Disney California Adventure Park.

Using the same format she used in her book, which was published before Cars Land opened, Pierce has created scavenger hunts and I-Spy-style activities to keep visitors happily occupied as they inch slowly to the front of the long lines generated by the new attraction’s instant success.

“The Radiator Springs ride alone has created waits as long as three hours,” Pierce notes. “Clearly something had to be done.”

The games in Pierce’s “Lots To Do In Line: Disneyland” focus your attention on details you might otherwise miss. If you like, you can compete for points with family and friends to add to the fun. You don’t have to be an expert in Disney history or trivia either. Since playing requires no prior knowledge, adults and kids play on an equal footing.

Cars Land, a 12-acre addition to the Disneyland Resort’s Disney California Adventure Park in Anaheim, California, opened on June 15 and has been phenomenally popular, as the long lines attest.
