• August 13, 2012 - No Faire! Luigi's loses its balls and princesses relocate

Today we ventured into the parks a little early this week to take a look at the new pop -up location for the princesses. The new Princess Royal Walk is located at "it's a small world" mall. The location itself is a bit lackluster, but construction is now in full swing for it's new location at Carnation Gardens.

Over at Disney California Adventure, Disney determined you can no longer have a "ball" at Luigi's Flying Tires, making a barely entertaining attraction less appealing.

    Full pictorial update below...

Princess Fantasy Faire closed today to get ready for a new theatrical production.

I'm sure within the next couple of weeks these sets will be taken down and replaced.

Mysterious black box, probably for tech stuff.

Tried to get a picture of what this said, but no luck, it washed out.

While Princess Fantasy Faire is closed and the construction continues for the new Fantasy Faire at Carnation Gardens, a temporary location has been set up next to Merida's Meet N' Greet at "it's a small world" mall.

The new meet n' greet is being called Princess Royal Walk.

When I arrived at the Royal Walk Cast Members had just put up these umbrella's for guests to stand under to escape the heat.

Even in a smaller space the princesses still have a 60 minute wait, and it's still what we like to call princess roulette on which princess you will see. But at least now you can clearly see which ones our there.

A look at the queue with the umbrella's.

Like Fantasy Fair, after you meet with the first princess you go down the line and meet with the others.

Poor Cinderella had to wait a while for her guests.

Closer look at the decorations. It felt really lackluster, I feel like they could have done a little more.

Over at what will be the permanent location for the princesses, not much has happened with the canopy.

Crane is still at the location.

No visible progress on this building either.

But a new building has popped up in the location, and the steal structure is being built.

Closer look at the steal structure.

Over at Disney California Adventure, I never got around to take a picture of the new plaque, so here it is.

Met a MouseInfo member for a drink at the Carthay Lounge. He got the pulled pork roll. Different but very good!

This was probably my tenth time on Radiator Springs Racers, but never noticed these "cave" drawings near the handicap loading area.

Over at Luigi's Flying Tires the beach balls are now gone.

Last week they were down to only seven and today there were none.

Cast Members said the beach balls are on "vacation" but probably will not return.

I had a feeling the beach balls would be gone soon. They were too much of a hassle and the cast members had to spend a lot of time handing them to the guests on the ride. The line has always been way too long, so I haven't been on it yet. However, it doesn't seem all that great. But the Junkiyard Jamboree is really fun and the line is usually much shorter.

The balls were the only saving grace to an otherwise horrible ride.
