It will be VERY BUSY in and around the Disneyland Resort so make sure you're prepared and informed!
ROAD DELAYS
On Sunday, September 2, road closures and one-way operation are expected on several streets around the Resort through-out the morning. If you absolutely must be traveling through this area you'll want to plan accordingly.
Hours are subject to fluctuate so you should pad closure hours by several hours in either direction. Some streets may open/close earlier or later but most will definitely be closed between 5am and 10am.
Road Closures
On Sunday, September 2, Disneyland Drive is expected to be closed between 12:01am and 11am. Additionally, Disneyland Drive will also be closed on August 22 - August 31, and September 3 from approximately 1am - 6am.
The following are the streets expected to be CLOSED between 5am and 10am:
- Anaheim Blvd. (between Cerritos and Ball)
- Cerritos Ave. (between Haster & Lewis and State & Douglass)
- Lewis St. (between Ball and Cerritos)
- Ball Rd. (between Lewis and State College)
- State College Blvd. (between Ball and Cerritos)
- S. Anaheim Way (between Haster and Orangewood)
The following are the streets expected to be in one-way operation between 5am and 10am:
- Ball Rd. (westbound-traffic only between Disneyland Drive and Anaheim Blvd)
- Katella Ave. (eastbound-traffic only between Disneyland Drive and Harbor)
- Harbor Blvd. (northbound-traffic only between Katella and Disney Way)
- Disney Way (eastbound-traffic only between Harbor and Haster)
HALF MARATHON
And then there's the marathon itself! Below is a map of the marathon route, following that is a schedule of various events for the Marathon:
- Disneyland Health & Fitness Expo at the Disneyland Hotel Exhibit Hall. The Disneyland Health & Fitness Expo welcomes all Half Marathon Weekend participants to experience a two-day celebration focused on health and fitness. The event features the opportunity to experience the latest in running and fitness equipment.

- 5K Runner Start at 6:45 am (Mickey and Friends Parking Structure)

- Disneyland Half Marathon Pasta in the Park Party at Stage 17 in Disney California Adventure Park
- Saturday, September 1
- 6 pm (advanced reservations required)

- Disneyland Half Marathon at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park
- Sunday, September 2
- Wheelchair Start: 5:59 am
- Runner Start: 6 am
- Awards Ceremony: Approx. 8:30 am (following the conclusion of the race at the Family Reunion Area Stage)
- Runner Recognition Ceremony at Angels Game: Noon (Angels game tickets required.)

AWARDS CEREMONY
An Awards Ceremony will be held at the Family Reunion Area Stage where TOP 3 finishers in several categories will be awarded a special statue and a photo-op with Mickey Mouse. Categories include Overall Female Finishers, Overall Male Finishers, Female Wheelchair Finishers (push rim only), Male Wheelchair Finishers (push rim only), Female Masters Champion, and Male Masters Champion.
WANT TO WATCH?
There are several recommended locations to view the Disneyland Half Marathon. Most are only accessible by foot as several road closures will be in effect for the event.
Disneyland Drive to Katella, 5:45am - 6:40am
Viewing for the Start of the race is accessible only by foot. You'll want to park at Mickey and Friends Parking Structure and walk to the starting line.
Esplanade between DL/DCA, 5:55am - 7am
Towards the beginning of the race you'll be able to see runners on the "park-hop" segment of the race. Accessible only by foot.
Disneyland Drive to Ball Road, 6:05am, 7:26am
Viewing for the this segment of the race is accessible only by foot.
Angel Stadium, 6:30am - 9:20am
Viewing area is accessible via Orangewood Ave. entrance.
Disneyland Hotel, Paradise Pier Hotel, ESPN Zone, 6:45am - 10am
Viewing for the final leg of the race is accessible only by foot.
Finish Line, 5:45am - 10:15am
Viewing for the end of the race is accessible only by foot.
