• September 14, 2012 - Halloween Time 2012 officially begins at Disneyland Resort!

With temperatures soaring over 100°F today, it was a sweltering day to be at the Disneyland Resort. Despite the summer-like heat, the parks were celebrating in full Fall fervor with decorations and activities to celebrate Halloween Time 2012.

Nftysqrt sweated it out in the parks today for a look at the new Frankenweenie exhibit and Halloween Carnival at the Big Thunder Roundup plus returning favorites such as Haunted Mansion Holiday, Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy, and more! Plus, off-season refurbishments continue all around the parks for a jam-packed update!

Despite Buena Vista Bugle proclaiming Halloween taking town, Buena Vista Street is devoid of any Halloween decorations.

    No Halloween decorations here.

No Halloween decorations here either. Doors closed, are the stores even open?

Flags remain at Half Mast today.

No decorations in Hollywood Land Either.

Now that he blinks, half my pictures of Mickey are always at just the wrong moment.

The popular Halloween Time Mickey popcorn buckets are back!

Disney Animation wasn't open and some Cast Members were fussing over new Frankenweenie posters at the entrance.

    Delayed opening.

The marquee advertises the new exhibit inside as it rotates.

Muppet Vision Theater is home to a 4D sneak peek of Frankenweenie.

Dancing with Disney is sticking through past the summer.

Award Wieners is in the Frankenweenie spirit. Franken-Fusion Lemonade is Minute Maid Light Lemonade with a thunder bolt shot of blackberry and wild grape monin and topped with lemon lime foamz.

The Frank & Weenie special is a pork sausage stitched together with bacon and brought to life with sauteed onions on a jalapeno cheddar cheese bun topped with a lightning bolt of barbecue sauce. I'll take mine without the BBQ please, this is just an LA street dog, no need to fuss with sauce.

    Buahahaha.

Work continues at the DCA entrance.
