Disney.com has taken a fresh new approach to its main landing page. Less focused on being a giant glitzy slam in the face of advertising, the new Disney.com takes a cleaner more modern approach to the layout of its website with a clear carefully considered organization and hierarchy. A big bold news rotator heads the page with other segments of the company broken down in categories. The new site also has a much lower reliance on Flash making it more mobile and tablet friendly.
The respective divisions of the Disney company are all managed separately so it is unlikely that they will all be re-designing to the same aesthetic although the global navigation bar at the top of the page will likely be introduced across the top of most Disney-owned/operated sites.

The new look of site is consistent with that of the Disney Video site launched earlier this year.
