Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two Disneyland Event

Last week I was lucky enough to take part in a special preview event for Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two. Here at the event three new area of the game were announced by Junction Point's Warren Spector. Rainbow Caverns,Rainbow Falls, and The Observatory. He also introduced a new area for the Nintendo 3DS game Epic Mickey: The Power of Illusion.

The day started with Bill Roper VP of Disney Interactive speaking briefly about Disney Interactive.




Speaking about the recent completion of Disney California Adventure.




Warren Spector from Junction Point speaks about areas that have already been announced for Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two.

Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two” is the first video game that can be described as a “musical,” where at various points during the adventure characters will express themselves and advance the plot by bursting into song. All songs feature original Disney-inspired music and lyrics




After explaining a little bit about the areas that have already had been announced, Warren surpirsed us with two new areas of the game.




The first one is Rainbow Caverns based on the old Disneyland attraction Mine Train through Nature's Wonderland.

Rainbow Falls is also a new area based on the Seven Dwarfs mine.




Warren explaining that Mickey with his magical paint brush that wields paint and thinner, and Oswald with his powerful remote control that allows him to command electricity.




The Observatory is also a new place in the game, a place where players can go to peek through a telescope and around the skies and unlock some of the mysteries of The Wasteland.




WiiU system players will utilize the Wii U GamePad toview afully detailed, real-time map of Wasteland with way points and markers to help guide them through the game and complete the different quests and side-quests.Players will also be able to use the GamePad to access sketches and activate them to use in-game for a more immersive experience.







Warren then introduced the new Ninetendo 3DS game, Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion.
