• More information about Christmas Day Parade taping at Disneyland, Military flyover and more

We announced this morning that the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade will be taping at Disneyland this weekend. We've since received a few more bits of information about the goings on for those who might be interested in seeing it in person. As always, the show tapes in early November and airs on Christmas morning on ABC.

Taking a cue from the interest in the ENDEAVOUR flyover in September, this year's parade will feature a Military flyover Main Street, U.S.A. Weather permitting, this should happen between 9:45 and 10:15 a.m.

As in years past, the taping will also affect regular operation of the parks. Mickey's Soundsational Parade will not be performed on Saturday. Main Street entertainment and attractions are affected the most with the Horse Drawn Carriage out of commission starting Friday and the rest of the vehicles in operation as allowed by filming schedules. The Disneyland Band will not be performing this weekend and they will have altered show schedules on Friday. Voices of Liberty, Hook & Ladder, Straw Hatters, and the Pearly Band will all have altered schedules.

Character appearances around Disneyland are also likely to fluctuate and shift throughout the day to accommodate for taping. Pixie Hollow and Princess Fantasy Faire will be most affected due to proximity to the parade route.

As always, all schedules and talents are subject to change. The Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade will air December 25th on ABC.
