• TravelEAR Abroad: Race to this Cars-themed Hotel!

Welcome back, travelEARS! Today we take you to a hotel that is sure to please all of the car enthusiasts out there. Welcome to the V8 Hotel.

Though Cars Land continues to wow guests, you can’t spend the night in the Cozy Cone Motel. So why not try spending the night in this car themed hotel?

    About This Hotel

    Böblingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany
    Typical Cost:
    $100-$250 / night

Built an old Zeppelin airfield from 1928, this hotel is built specifically for car fans. The top suite is situated in the former control tower of the airfield. The V8 hotel itself occupies the original Bauhaus-style airport hotel building, now completely restored and updated.

The hotel features 34 different rooms. Out of these rooms, 24 are your standard hotel rooms, albeit heavily influenced by cars and car culture. But there are also 10 themed rooms where you can actually sleep in a Mercedes or Beetle or another type of car. There is also an incredible Zeppelin Suite, featuring panoramic views.

The V8 Hotel is partnered by the Porsche Museum and Mercedes Benz. Each year there are car shows where car enthusiasts, collectors, and restoration specialists gather together to enjoy the heritage motor vehicles on display in the Legend Hall of the main building. Collectors of classic cars may even park their car in glass viewing boxes, so that others can see the repair and servicing taking place.

This hotel is definitely a must for car lovers. So why not race down to the V8 Hotel?

See you next week as we continue to take you, the TravelEAR, Abroad.
