• Ariel's Grotto losing princesses at dinner, gaining World of Color dinner packages

World of Color is more popular than princesses. At the very least, it's seemingly more profitable when it comes to Disney California Adventure.

We're received word that Ariel's Grotto Restaurant is set to undergo a few operational changes on March 22 which may please some and annoy others: World of Color Dinner Packages are returning but Princess greets for dinner are being removed.

The return of the World of Color dining package once again gives guests two options for dinner with their premium viewing option but it comes at the cost of losing the Princess meet and greet compnoent to the meal. The princesses will still be available during breakfast and lunch. Additionally, later seatings for lunch will now be accomodated.

The nearby Wine Country Trattoria has been offering the meal upcharges since the show was introduced in 2010. At Ariel's Grotto, the upcharge for the show was added to a meal that already had a premium for the characters thus creating a less enticing option for guests to swallow. It was eventually discontinued.

We don't have details on the new pricing for the location but is likely that it will remain same or close to the current price.

Also, for those who might want to try to catch World of Color from the elevated terrace of the Cove Bar, you can now do so without the previous $10 cover-charge and 1-drink minimum requirement.
