• Disneyland Resort implementing cancellation fee for dining and "transformation" experiences

Beginning May 9 you could be charged a $10 cancellation fee (PER PERSON) if you don't cancel a Disneyland Resort restaurant/transformation reservation at least one day before the reservation. The policy begins for reservations on or after June 24.

To do this, Disney will require a credit card to hold a reservation for Disney owned and operated table-service restaurants, cabanas, and transformation experiences (such as Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutqiue and Studio Disney 365).

Aligning more closely to Walt Disney World's policy, the Disneyland Resort's owned and operated restaurant and transformation locations will begin charging a $10 cancellation fee per person for any reservation that is not cancelled before the operating day of the specified reservation. This effectively means that any day-of cancellations will require the cancellation fee.

The policy has the same aim as its Florida counter-part to minimize the number of “no shows” at restaurants and thus open up the availability of these reserved spots to walk-in customers. For now World of Color picnic packages are not affected by this change and for the few of us that this applies to, Club 33 will also not be adhering to this policy.
