• TravelEAR Abroad: Stay the Night in a cave in "Agrabah"

Welcome back, travelEARS! Today, we take a look at one of our favorite type of hotels, the popular cave hotel. So sit back and relax as we take you to Elkep Evi.

Cave hotels are always cool, and Elkep Evi is no exception. So let’s journey to a real life Agrabah and explore all that this hotel has to offer.

    About This Hotel

    Location:
    Urgüp, Turkey
    Typical Cost:
    $100 / night
    Website:

For centuries, people have used the caves at Elkep Evi for shelter. However, way back in the day, people didn’t have all the modern conveniences that the hotel offers. Though you are staying in a cave, the rooms and suites contain all that you would expect from a luxury hotel.

Every room includes a private terrace that offers great views of the nearby Goreme National Park. The hotel also includes a garden hilltop to enjoy the view from while eating your daily breakfast or just relaxing.

Though most rooms are standard and feature a bed and some furniture, there are a few suites available containing a bedroom and living room area. Meanwhile guests can take part in hikes around the hotel or even ride a hot air balloon for a breathtaking view of the area. For those of you who might like to relax a little more, may I suggest the local Turkish bath?

Enjoy your stay in a real life Agrabah. I’m sure you’ll want to return!

See you next week as we continue to take you, the TravelEAR, Abroad.
