Recently, I have been obsessed with anything from the 1950's and 60's. The culture, the wardrobe, the social aspects of life is so fascinating to me. So when I got our review copy of THE HELP on Blu-ray combo pack, I was pretty excited to learn that the Dreamworks Picutre is set right in the 1960'.

Thursday Nftysqrt had the opportunity to go to the Walt Disney Studios for a sneak peak of upcoming events for D23 in 2012. This was a truly magical day that started in the Walt Disney Archives, and ended with Richard Sherman playing on Walt's newly restored office piano.

Yesterday at the D23 Update Media Event, Richard Sherman took to Walt's original piano to perform Feed The Birds and Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious from 1964's Mary Poppins.

Prep and Landing first landed into our homes on ABC television in December of 2009. Wayne and Lanny stole my heart the second they came on the screen, the entire short is so well done with the right balance of humor, heart, and wit. I actually still have my original 2009 recording on my DVR. Two years later, I'm happy to say that I finally own Prep and Landing and you can too as it's available now on DVD for the holiday season!
