Fantasy Faire officialy opens at Disneyland on March 12th, and when it does it will also become an extension of Fantasyland. Creative lead for the project, Michel Den Dulk said his “My goal,” he said, “was that the new Fantasy Faire would meld over into the existing Fantasyland naturally.” He

When Big Thunder Mountain Railroad closed for an extensive refurbishment earlier this year, rumors were swirling that the Rainbow Ridge Mining Town would be demolished. Well, Disney Parks Blog laid that rumor to rest, with confirmation that the town is actually just getting an update and will not be demolished.

Rainbow Ridge Mining Town will look very much the same as it always has. It is being refurbished with new materials, but many items from the original area will be reused such as props, signs and select doors, windows and shutters. Several other items are being turned over to the Disney Archives.

Disney has announced that the new Fantasy Faire at Disneyland will be opening March 12th. One of the highlights of Fantasy Faire will be Royal Theatre. Royal Theatre will feature two unique shows retelling the story of "Beauty and the Beast" and "Tangled." After the show guests will be able to meet n' greet with the princesses.

In preperation of the big game today, Walt Disney World kicks off its "Limited Time Magic" Super Celebration. Beginning today, guests will be able to see a super pigskin pre-parade. The parade will feature football star Goofy and some of Central Florida youth football champions.

Also, during this time, check out Cosmic Ray’s new menu items that commemorate the super Sunday celebration. Special “Soup-er Bowls” representing the teams will be available for one-week only, from February 1 – 9. Executive Chef Andrew Sutton Brings His Spirit for Fun and Fresh Ingredients to Carthay Circle Restaurant and Lounge, Building on Success of Napa Rose

Napa Rose, the award-winning restaurant at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, features California wine country cuisine that celebrates the bounty and heritage of the state, inspired by its rich seacoast, farmlands and vineyards.

Carthay Circle Restaurant and Lounge at Disney California Adventure Park also features artisan ingredients, locally sourced produce and seafood and meats from throughout Southern California.

The guiding force behind both these kitchens is Executive Chef Andrew Sutton, whose team of chefs puts on a stellar show every night of the week. Sutton joined the Disneyland Resort in 2000 to create Napa Rose and he opened Carthay Circle Restaurant and Lounge in 2012.

“Both are environments in which we can we show our guests how passionate we are about creating food that is truly good and that people love,” said Sutton. “The food is inspired by Mother Nature and the bounty of wonderful food in California.”

Beginning March 12, 2013, Disney Princesses will await guests at the brand new Fantasy Faire at the front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. Later this year, the Fantasyland Theater will also be opening with the previously announced Mickey and the Magical Map stageshow. Also coming soon are Sofia the First and Doc McStuffins who will join ‘Disney Junior – Live on Stage!’

Starting February 12th the spring issue of Disney Twenty-Three Magazine will hit news stands. The Spring issue will feature "A Great and Powerful Odyssey,” which gives readers an exclusive tour of the land at the end of the road of yellow bricks in Disney’s Oz The Great and Powerful releasing in theaters March 8.

Entertainment Weekly had the exclusive first look this morning at the brand new THE MUPPETS... AGAIN sequel that started production last week in London. This latest Muppets adventure welcomes Ricky Gervais, Ty Burrell and Tina Fey to the screen to join Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Walter and rest of the Muppets.

The film will be directed by James Bobin (“Flight of the Conchords,” “Da Ali G Show”) and produced by the Academy Award®-nominated team of David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman (“The Fighter,” “The Proposal”).

Love is in the air at Disneyland Resort as fairy tale princesses find true love with their princes, and “happily ever after” becomes a reality. It all happens during True Love Week February 11-17, 2013 at Disneyland Resort as part of Limited Time Magic.

During this time, a variety of romance inspired offerings will be found at Disneyland. Valentine decorations will adorn the park, the castle will be lit with soft colors and projections of hearts and flowers, the Mickey floral will be updated for the holiday, and special menus and treats will be found in abundance.

As occasionally happens from year to year the Disney Princes will be joining their more famous Disney princesses for meet and greets at the Royal Walk in Fantasyland and Mickey and Minnie as well as Donald and Daisy will be available for for sweetheart photo-ops.

The popular Walt Disney World Moms Panel now has a new name that is more fit for this diverse group of panelists. The Walt Disney World Moms Panel is now the Disney Parks Moms Panel, with the expansion of the first- ever Disney Sports specialist.

The Disney Parks Moms Panel recently added 19 lucky panelists, including a few dads! The Disney Parks Moms Panel is an online forum that serves as a resource for planning Disney Parks vacations.

The American Idol Experience at Disney Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World has priven to be a popular attraction. Guests can earn their way to the Hollywood Round on the hit show American Idol.

In a record breaking sell out the Disneyland Half Marathon, Disneyland 10k, and the Dumbo Double Dare have all reached capacity in about 26 hours. More than 19,500 runner just participated in the Tinker Bell Half Marathon this past weekend, and runDisney racers are seemingly becoming more popular at the Disneyland Resort.

Of the more than 25,000 runners who registered for the race weekend, 17,500 runners will participate in the Disneyland Half Marathon and 8,000 in the Disneyland 10K – including 5,000 in the Dumbo Double Dare.
