This morning Disney chairman Tom Staggs announced MyMagic+ that will give guests more opportunities to customize and personalize their entire visit. One of the main compnent is the My Disney Experience that will allow guests to book dining and other experiences and reserve times for their favorite attractions, shows and more through an enhanced FastPass system, FastPass+.

Also apart of the MyMagic+ experience is the MagicBand. Worn on the wrist, it will serve as a guest’s room key, theme park ticket, access to FastPass+ selections, PhotoPass card and optional payment account all rolled into one.

In anticipation of Monsters, University, Disney and Pixar are releasing their hit film Monsters, Inc for the first time in 3D on February 19th! Not only will the film be 3D, the Combo Pack comes with a regular Blu-ray disc, DVD and hours of Bonus Features!

We have known for months that a new show would be debuting at the Fatasyland Theater at Disneyland and today Disney has finally announced what the new show coming to the theater this summer will be...

"Mickey and the Magical Map" will follow the sorcerer Yen Sid who has the power to take dreamers to any place through this magical map. But when young apprentice Mickey Mouse attempts to paint the map’s one unfinished spot, he stumbles into a fantastic adventure through worlds of music, color and beloved characters, as he discovers the mystery of the map’s magic!

The Disneyland Resort launches Limited Time Magic with the celebration of Three Kings Day at Disneyland Park, Jan. 4-6, 2013, followed by “A Salute to the Golden Horseshoe Revue” Jan. 10.

These special events are the first of many magical experiences, both big and small, that will add an extra sprinkle of pixie dust for guests at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Parks, throughout 2013.

On March 12th, Disney will release from the Vault four highly anticipated films for the first time on Blu-ray! The films making their Blu-ray debut are the much requested Who Framed Roger Rabbit, along with Mulan, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Brother Bear and their respective sequels.

With Christmas over you might still be recovering from a food coma but on the Disney Cruise Line there's a variety of options for vacationers determined to remain “shipshape.” Taking a cruise does not have to be a vacation from a fitness routine and so there's plenty of activities on-board to keep active.

Disney Cruise Line Captain Thord Haugen and his shipboard officers will host local port officials and community leaders aboard the 2,700-passenger Disney Wonder for a plaque exchange ceremony in celebration of the inaugural call on Costa Maya, in accordance with maritime tradition.

Although other Disney ships have visited Costa Maya previously, it is a port of call for the first time for the Disney Wonder, as the ship repositions to its new regional homeport in Miami.

After the Disney Wonder departs Costa Maya, the ship will sail to Miami to begin a new series of itineraries. This is the first time a Disney ship will have a regional homeport in Southern Florida, allowing families from this area to take advantage of departing from a port close to their own backyard.

It's official, Mickey has officially joined forces with the Dark Side as of today, December 21. Bob Iger announced today that The Walt Disney Company has completed its acquisition of Lucasfilm Ltd. LLC.

Lucasfilm’s assets include its massively popular Star Wars franchise, operating businesses in live action film production, consumer products, animation, visual effects, and audio post production, as well as a substantial portfolio of cutting-edge entertainment technologies. It operates under the names Lucasfilm Ltd. LLC, LucasArts, Industrial Light & Magic, and Skywalker Sound.

Under the terms of the merger agreement, at closing Disney issued 37,076,679 shares and made a cash payment of $2,208,199,950. Based upon the closing price of Disney shares on December 21, 2012 at $50.00, the transaction has a total value of approximately $4.06 billion.

Last week, Mickey Mouse and Walt Disney World VoluntEARS spread some holiday cheer as they delivered nearly 35,000 toys donated by Cast Members and Disney for the annual U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program.

Disney has supported the annual toy drive for more than 60 years, dating back to when Walt Disney himself helped design the original Toys for Tots logo that is still used today.

This holiday season, guests will see light displays and decorations featuring Disney characters at the entrances and inside the Omotesando Hills, Laforet Harajuku, and Tokyu Plaza Omotesando Harajuku shopping centers.

Each has a theme with visual and decorative presentations that transport shoppers into the world of Disney. Disney recently shared a selection of pictures to check out the upscale representation of the brand for the holiday season.

2013 is a huge year for Toyko Disneyland with its 30th Anniversary, and the resort recently announced “Mickey & Duffy’s Spring Voyage,” that will debut at Tokyo DisneySea to help kick off the celebration.

Guests can see the new show from March 18-June 30, and the show will tell the story of Duffy the Disney Bear traveling with Mickey Mouse to enjoy springtime at Tokyo DisneySea.

The holiday season is in full swing and magic can be found everywhere around the Disneyland Resort. Returning seasonal favorites like Haunted Mansion Holiday, Believe...In Holiday Magic, and of course it's a small world holiday.

New this year is the Jingle Jangle Jamboree at the Big Thunder Ranch. Over at Disney California Adventure, Buena Vista Street is decorated for the first time for the holiday's. You can also visit santa in Elias & Company, and listen to the Buena Vista Street Community Bell Ringers. Cars Land also got a holiday overlay, with very unique decorations from Radiator Springs.

Guests visiting Cars Land this holiday season will see each of its residents have decked out in the holiday spirit. Sally, Mater, Luigi, and Sarge have all decorated in unique theme to fir their personalities.
