Guests will find an extra sprinkle of pixie dust each week when they visit Walt Disney World and Disneyland resorts next year, Disney officials announced today. These and many more special experiences to surprise and delight Disney Parks guests will roll out each week in 2013. Unique, magical, memory-filled – and each for a limited time only.

Imagine an Independence Day celebration – only it lasts an entire week….Main Street mainstays the Dapper Dans rocking out with boy band hits in barbershop style….a Friday the 13th dance party with Disney villains that lasts to the 13th hour….a Valentine’s Day in 2013 that becomes Valentine’s Week with Disney castles blushing pink, surprise meet-and-greets with Disney princes and princesses, and candlelit dinners for couples in love.

Golden Oak, the unique residential home community at Walt Disney World Resort, continues to bustle with construction, with more than a dozen families settling into their dream homes situated just minutes from Magic Kingdom.

Construction continues in the upscale housing development. The 980-acre Golden Oak community, when fully completed, will contain 450 luxury homes ranging in price from $1.5 to $8 million.

Disney Parks Blog announced a new offering for families sailing on the Disney Crusie Line. This offer is for kids 17 and under and sailing from the new Galveston, Texas. The offer is for most Disney Magic sailings from January 4 to March 1, 2013, making this the perfect holiday gift for your little cowboys and cowgirls! The offer is available for stateroom categories 4A-11B.

In conjuction with the opening of "Frankenweenie" the Walt Disney Studios teamed up with the Discovery Science Center for the "Frankenweenie" Science Fair. Children from grades 5-12were encouraged to create their own science experiments.

On Friday, October 5th at the El Capitan Theatre there was a special ceremony to announce the winners before a screening of the film. First place went to Science winner Colin Takeda of California, who built a microbial fuel cell that produced sustained electricity, generating almost 1/3 the power an AA battery for up to 90 minutes. This subject is currently being studied in Patrick Soon-Shiong’s NantWorks Institute at UCLA, and Patrick has invited Colin to spend a full day with scientists at the Institute!

Bloomingdales teamed up with ABC to create a stunning new window displays inspired by the the hit show "Once Upon a Time." To help celebrate the return of the show in it's second season, actress Jennifer Morrison (Emma Swan) helped reveal the new Once Upon a Time window displays at Bloomingdale’s on Lexington Avenue in New York City, on Thursday, September 27.

The new costume collections are inspired by Disney and Marvel’s most popular 2012 film releases including the Cinderella Diamond Edition on Blu-ray™, Marvel’s The Avengers, Disney∙Pixar’s Brave and the highly anticipated October 23rd release of Tinker Bell and the Secret of the Wings on Blu-ray ™.

The new Fantasyland at Walt Disney World is taking shape. Magic Kingdom guests can now take a ride on side by side Dumbo attractions and recently opened Pete’s Silly Sideshow invites guests to meet some beloved Disney circus stars who are excited to show off their special talents.

This is a great place to meet new friends and pose for photos with some familiar faces. In the spotlight and eager to meet their fans are Minnie Magnifique (Minnie Mouse as a circus star), Madame Daisy Fortuna (Daisy Duck as a fortune teller), The Great Goofini (Goofy as a stunt pilot) and The Astounding Donaldo (Donald Duck as a snake charmer).

Today on the Parks Blog three Disney Vacation Club exclusive Adventures by Disney trips have been announced for 2013. The three trips for 2013 are Cowboys and Canyons, Knights and Lights, and Quest for the West.

Disney has shared with us new stills and the official poster for its upcoming film The Lone Ranger. The Lone Ranger stars Armie Hammer and Johnny Depp and is due out on July 3, 2013.

It's not even Halloween yet and Disney Parks Blog is giving us a glimpse of what's to come for the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort. This year will feature vintage decorations along Buena Vista Street, Cars Land Decorations, and new fun will be rockin Mad T Party.

Holidays at the Disneyland Resort will be from November 12 through January 6, 2013.

Disney Parks Blog recently shared an interview with director Tim Burton when he visited Disney California Adventure for a "Frankenweenie" press junket. Tim shared his memories of visiting the park when he was a child, to working at the Walt Disney Studios as an animator.

Guests spending Thanksgiving at the Disneyland Resort have more than a dozen options all around the Resort to choose from. Guests can choose to dine in the parks or at one of the many restaurants at the hotels.

The extravaganza is the buffet at the Disneyland Hotel, a classic harvest of roast turkey, prime rib, homemade stuffing, sweet potato soufflé, fresh cranberry-orange relish and smashed potatoes and gravy. Add to that fresh salads, artisan cheeses, smoked salmon, chilled shrimp, king crab legs and charcuterie. And that’s all before desserts such as pumpkin and pecan pies, tarts, desserts flights, cookies, cakes, macaroon pops, gourmet cupcakes, crêpes flambées and a chocolate fountain with sweets for dipping.

Disney has just announced the release of Peter Pan Diamond Edition. A release date hasn't been set yet but it should be in Spring 2013 according to an insert in the recently released Cinderella Diamond Edition.

Disney announced today "10 Days of Frankenweenie" a new free level pack for the hit mobile game "Where's my Water?." Inspired by Tim Burton's newest film "Frankenweenie" the level pack features black and white levels that combine the film's retro look and feel with the gameplay of "Where's my Water?" and Swampy the gator.
