In a special ceremony this morning in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, Cast Members Sachiko White and Megan Navarette were announced the as the 2013-2014 Disneyland Ambassador Team. The pair will continue the tradition that was started by Walt Disney himself in 1965 of officially representing the Disneyland Resort.

For this weeks Wednesday update we take a very quick look around the Resort. The Beasts Library in the Disney Animation building over at Disney California Adventure got an update with new characters added to its personality quiz. And the once unique FASTPASS sign is now gone for Radiator Springs Racers to make room for more merchandise.

And over at Disneyland, Pizza Port reopens while still undergoing exterior refurbishment. And another look at the safety changes to the Jungle Cruise.

The cooler weather today brought the crowds to the Disneyland Resort, prompting them to extend the hours of both parks. Also, Halloween Time is now in full swing with the Halloween Carnival at Festival Arena getting a few more decorations, while gearing up for the first of Mickey's Halloween Parties this Friday.

We also take a look at the ongoing refurbishments around Disneyland.

On Friday September 21, 2012 the Shuttle Endeavour was literally Soarin' over California and one fly-over zone included Disneyland Resort! We have pictures and video of the epic piece of history but also take a peek at the continuing Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort plus new merch for Frankenweenie and the new Oswald ear hats that are finally available for sale!

Fantastic Fest hosted the world premiere screening of 'Frankenweenie 3D' on the festival's opening night at the Alamo Drafthouse Lamar theater, Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012 in Austin, Texas. Director Tim Burton, and actors Winona Ryder, Martin Landau, Charlie Tahan, and producer Allison Abbate walked the red carpet prior to the film's start which included a theater full of pooches.

Billy Hill and the Hillbillies are still relegated to the Big Thunder Jamboree in the back of Frontierland and now that Halloween Time is at the Disneyland Resort their entire playround has become a festive fall Roundup. To get guests into the spirit their musical sets have taken on a more appropriately Halloween-themed tone with songs such as Ghost Riders in the Sky (Country Bear fans ears should prick up) and other spooky kooky jingles.

Halloween Time is happening now through October 31 at the Disneyland Resort.

September 28 will be the first night of Mickey's Halloween Party that takes place inside Disneyland after the park closes officially for the day and that means it's also the first night of Halloween Screams! For those not going to the seprately-ticketed event, we have this preview of highlights from the show brought to us by Disney!

With temperatures soaring over 100°F today, it was a sweltering day to be at the Disneyland Resort. Despite the summer-like heat, the parks were celebrating in full Fall fervor with decorations and activities to celebrate Halloween Time 2012.

Nftysqrt sweated it out in the parks today for a look at the new Frankenweenie exhibit and Halloween Carnival at the Big Thunder Roundup plus returning favorites such as Haunted Mansion Holiday, Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy, and more! Plus, off-season refurbishments continue all around the parks for a jam-packed update!

Last week, MouseInfo correspondent Becky Young and her little assistant Makyala Lynne attended the Grand Opening for the new Disney Baby Store located in Glendale at the Americana at Brand. The store was officially opened by celebrity host Alison Sweeney and her children and some familiar friends. Some of the other celebrities in attendance inlcuded Ali Landry, Samantha Harris, Marissa Jaret Winokus, and Laila Ali.

More than 200 guests, including 20 expectant military moms from Operation Shower (a non-profit organization that supports military families by hosting baby showers to ease the stress of deployment) were in attendance. The mothers each received a $250 gift card to Disney Baby to spend in the store.

Halloween Time is showing up all over the Resort in our update this week. We take a look at some of the Halloween prep going around Disneyland for the official start of Halloween Time on September 14th. Big Thunder Ranch is gearing up for its new Halloween Carnival and decorations are showing up park-wide including the giant Mickey Jack-o-Lantern on Main Street.

Nftysqrt also checks on the many refurbishments going around Disneyland. It seems like there is something under tarps in every land during this off-season. Plus, in the midst on Halloween, winter has already landed on Pixie Hallow with the arrival of Periwinkle now greeting guests with her sister Tinker Bell.

This weeks update is a little early this week so we can bring you coverage of the Annual Passholder Fantasmic Glow with the Show Event. But before the event, we went around the Resort to check on some ongoing refurbishments and construction.

Earl of Sandwich is making some progress on construction, Fantasy Faire's construction is picking up the pace, and the princess are almost completely gone from the Fantasyland Theater.

Disneyland is once again in stock with the much anticipated Poster Art of the Disney Parks coffee table book featuring the beautiful renderings, concepts, and imagery of the posters that grace the Disney Parks around the world.

This morning, a special signing event was held at the Disney Gallery at Disneyland featuring book authors Vanessa Hunt and Danny Handke as well as Imagineers Tony Baxter, Larry Nikkolai, and Will Eyerman.

It was a quick visit to the parks as the temperature and the crowds were quickly rising. Before leaving, we made our way on the Omnibus for a trip up to Sleeping Beauty Castle and right back down to the beginning of Main Street.

Today we ventured into the parks a little early this week to take a look at the new pop -up location for the princesses. The new Princess Royal Walk is located at "it's a small world" mall. The location itself is a bit lackluster, but construction is now in full swing for it's new location at Carnation Gardens.

Over at Disney California Adventure, Disney determined you can no longer have a "ball" at Luigi's Flying Tires, making a barely entertaining attraction less appealing.

"Lights…Camera…Magic!" is a day-long tour held by Adventures by Disney giving participants the chance to see the sights and sounds of Los Angeles with an exclusive tour of the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank.

The chartered bus trip is led by two Disney Adventure Guides who become best friends during the voyage as we travel from point to point. They answer questions, share knowledge, and are responsible for special surprises all along the way.

MouseInfo had the opportunity to be part of a special media-only tour last week and we're happy to report that the voyage was a fun romp around the city that out-of-towners would likely enjoy as part of a bigger trip to the Disneyland Resort!
