This Saturday (April 27th) head over to Hollywood for the 4th Annual TCM Classic Film Festival! In past years, the festival has worked in collaboration with D23 to feature some of the most influential and important Disney films ever created. This year will feature the timeless classic, LADY AND THE TRAMP at their newest festival venue - Disney's El Capitan Theater. The film will premiere at 1:15pm, but be sure to arrive at least 30 minutes early.

This will be my fourth year attending this incredible festival, and I assure you, it's not one to be missed. Festival passes are available for purchase and range from $249 - $1,599. Personally, I prioritize my spending money to afford my Disney Annual Pass, (which means I can't afford to drop a thousand bucks for a weekend festival.) Luckily, the festival offers individual film tickets for $20 ($10 with valid student ID)! For me, this has always been the best option financially. The Festival website explains that these tickets will become available once queued passholders have been seated, and open seats will be sold on a "first-come, first-served and cash only basis at individual venue box offices and just prior to the individual program start time."

Yesterday, I was very privileged to get a sneak peek inside the newest Fantasyland Theater show "Mickey and the Magical Map." "Mickey and the Magical Map" sends Mickey Mouse on a theatrical adventure through India,China, New Orleans, Virginia, Hawaii, and Under the Sea.

The show will have five daily performances and will showcase an articulated King Louie, and of course Mickey Mouse himself. We were lucky enough to hear from the show creators on what it took to bring this into the Fantasyland Theater and what kind of obstacles they had to overcome with it being an outdoor venue, we also had the opportunity to hear Michael Jung and Kevin Eld speak about the Disney Parks Creative Entertainment Department, and what they hope to achieve in the future.

"Mickey and the Magical Map" opens May 25th at the Disneyland Resort.
