For the second year in a row, the Anaheim Convention Center has played host to WONDERCON. This year's 2013 event drew an estimated 40,000 people to the Orange Country area. While there was somewhere around 240 hours of programming available over the course of the three days of the event, we got to experience only a small fragment of it on Day 2.
Of course, one of our favorite parts of any Con is the cosplay and this year's events had plenty. Everything from blockbuster films to obscure cultural references saw the light of day and we even got to see Guillermo Del Toro talk about Pacific Rim and James Wan talk about The Conjuring. Of course, exploring the showfloor is an activity unto itself and we'll give you a quick preview of the excitement there, as well.

WonderCon 2013 has overtaken the Anaheim Convention Center for the second year in a row and its proximity to the Disneyland Resort has ensured that quite a few Disney fans were in attendance showcasing their passion for Disney with their cosplay costumes.

Former Disneyland Resort President George A. Kalogridis participated in a ceremony last week which awarded 59 Central Florida organizations and school districts more than $1.5 million today as part of the Disney Helping Kids Shine grants program.

On April 1 Disney continues its Limited Time Magic marketing promotion by unveiling the newest Year of the Ear hat designs. At Walt Disney World the Strawberry Ear Hat will be available and at Disneyland Resort the Cozy Cone hat will become available.

Shortly after announcing the full cast of voice talent that will be featured in the upcoming PLANES animated feature, Disney has released an official poster for the film showcasing an air race in pursuit!

The second annual Course of the Force relay will be taking place this year from July 9th – 16th, 2013. Last year, the Olympic torch-styled relay stretched from Santa Monica to San Diego ending at San Diego Comic Con International. This year the event begins further north at Skywalker Ranch winding it's way back down to Comic Con once again.

Today marks the first anniversary of NEWSIES on Broadway! The Tony Award-winning hit Broadway musical has been seen by nearly a half-million people, broken seven Nederlander Theatre house records, and has regularly been among Broadway’s top 10 shows.
In December, Newsies became the Disney production to turn a profit fastest, doing so in just 41 weeks and confirming its status as one of the biggest hits of the 2011-12 Broadway season. The show received 23 major theatrical nominations—including eight Tony Award nods—and won Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for Score and Choreography.

Disneyland will be playing host to a special display of the actual set piece for the Hall of Armor in the upcoming IRON MAN 3. The fun setpiece, complete with the various incarnations of Iron Man's suits was on display last year at San Diego Comic-Con as you can see in the image here.
To be located on the second floor of Innoventions at Disneyland, the Iron Man Tech Presented by Stark Industries display will be available beginning April 13.

On Monday, NFTYSqrt ventured out on this beautiful Spring Day to check out the Limited Time Magic happening for Spring Fling around the Disneyland Resort. Over at Disneyland guests could meet the Easter Bunny and learn the Bunny Hop with Roger Rabbit. Also, the Star Trader has reopened with classic arcade games.

Disney Interactive recently announced that Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX will be coming soon this fall. The 1.5 ReMIX is an HD compilation of the original Kingdom Hearts (the FINAL MIX version) and Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories. The game also includes gorgeous HD cinematics from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and for the first time ever, will be available on PlayStation 3.

A new IRON MAN 3 TV spot has just been released online. The clip reveals some new footage towards the end but does little to move us forward with the story. IRON MAN 3 lands in theaters on May 3, 2013!
