There is a time growing up as a girl that you for sure want to be two things in life, a princess and of course an ice skater. It was always my dream to be both. I would always beg my parents to take me to a Disney on Ice presentation whenever I saw the commercials on television. Well, 30 years later my dream came true, and while I didn't grow up to be an ice skater or a princess, I was still gitty as a little girl to be able to see Disney's on Ice: Dare to Dream.

When Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida opens its new distribution facility on March 6, 2013, the building will feature a Disney-themed mural painted by Walt Disney Imagineers. Inspired by the Disney film Mickey and the Beanstalk, the mural shows how a few little seeds, helped by some Disney magic, grow into a massive green vine.

The new $15 million facility will provide hunger relief for thousands of Central Floridians in need. Last year Walt Disney World Resort donated $500,000 to the “Building Solutions to Hunger” capital campaign to build the new center.

More details have come to light about the February AP event. We shared last week that on Thursday nights this February, AP holders will be able to gain admission into DCA after regular park closing for two extra hours to experience the park.

Regular park guests will still be cycling out of the park during these two hours (as they get off of rides with long waits such as Radiator Springs Racers) so AP holders must wear special wristbands that give them access to these two extra hours in the park.

Disney finally made official its plans to go to Broadway with a full-length stage musical for ALADDIN in the Spring of 2014. A scaled down Broadway-style version of Aladdin currently plays at Disney California Adventure and Disney Cruise Line and is quite popular. The rumor of the show going to the big stage has been swirling since the theme park show debuted to high praises in 2002.

On Thursday nights this February, AP holders will be able to gain admission into DCA after regular park closing for two extra hours to experience the park. February is a slow-season at the Disneyland Resort so the park's regular closing time is 8pm every Thursday except for President's Week when the park closes at 9pm.

This is great news for those who want to explore the parks with less crowds BUT this doesn't mean that lines will be automatically shorter. Disney's regular policy is to allow guests to queue up for attractions up until park closing. This means that if Radiator Springs Racers has an hour wait at 8pm park closing, it will not be until 9pm when those regular day guests will be cycled through, leaving only an hour left for exclusive AP holder access.
