Get your snow suits ready (and forgive the pun in the title)! Because this week in TravelEAR Abroad, we take you to the snowy regions of Europe for your very own chance to stay in an igloo! I present to you the Iglu-Dorf.

Snowfall should be no stranger to any well-traveled Disney Travelears. Attractions such as Matterhorn and and Expedition Everest play off snowy escapes and both feature abominable creatures that reside in the frozen abodes. But for those people who want to get a fully authentic snow-filled experience, the Iglu-Dorf may be the perfect choice.

A new year is on the horizon and for DCA it's a whole new park is just around the corner, too! With most expansion construction slated to end in 2012, it will be a new era for the California themed park. As part of the changes, the PT Flea pin shop is now but a distant memory. Currently it sits near Goofy's Sky School as an overflow dining area for Paradise Garden Grill. But just a few years ago, PT Flea's was itself a remnant of a former existence. The building formerly housed Santa Rosa Seed and Supply selling gardening supplies.

When "a bugs land" opened in 2002, the location became known as PT Flea's, selling pins and pin accessories. Although over-sized elements were placed inside the shop to help it fit into the bug-sized world, many of the thematic elements remained untouched from its former incarnation. This is when a bit of creative perspective allowed for an interesting juxtaposition.

Today's image features a bird house at PT Flea's with Tower of Terror off in the distance poking up above the farmland of Bountiful Valley Farm.

As we look to a new year I'd like to take the moment on behalf of myself and Magic: Off the Record, to wish you well. I hope that the new year “looks up” for you and yours. Along the theme of looking up, I though I'd use just that thought for this week’s article!

As you are walking around the Resort, take a minute to look up. Really, just physically look up! What you might see is a lot of dead space on the second floors of the facades and show buildings. In previous articles I have mentioned that some of these "empty" areas are actually used as office space; for instance: the switchboard operators above the Opera House, or the Main Entrance Managers above City Hall.

Space at Disneyland is at a premium and whatever free space that can be found is usually used for storage. When you have a long history like Disneyland, you are bound to find a few treasures in storage…

This Christmas morning, a yearly tradition for many commenced once again on ABC with the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade. Earlier this past November, studio crews were in the parks for a few days to tape all the magical goings on that were shown in today's telecast.

Those who tuned in saw Nick Cannon return to the show, this time as host! In addition to a selection of floats from Disneyland's regular A Christmas Fantasy Parade, nearly every single float from Mickey's Soundsational Parade was also included in the mix along with two special numbers; one featuring Phineas and Ferb's street party and the other featuring Disney Channel ANT Farm star China Anne McClain. Christina Aguilera was also in tow.

Words can only do so much, check out our full video and pictorial coverage of the 2011 Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade at Disneyland!

Santa may have already made his rounds for the 2011 Christmas Season, but as he flew over Anaheim last night he might have taken in quite the sight over DCA which is full of construction projects that are wrapping up for 2012.

Today, finishing details are being added to the dusty buildings of Radiator Springs in Carsland but just 9-months ago, the former Timon parking lot was full of nothing but rebar, metal, and dirt. Across the park this was the trend with Paradise Gardens and DCA's new main entrance all under frantic construction.

Courtesy of the imagery provided by Google Maps, we take an aerial look at the construction over Disney California Adventure circa March of this year. Join us as we soar over of Disney California Adventure for a bird's eye view of the construction sites.
