Disney quietly released this morning the first domestic teaser poster for Oz the Great and Powerful. The poster leaves little to interpret, we're going to the Oz we're all familiar with down to the Emerald City and the yellow-brick road. With director Sam Raimi at the helm, however, this won't be the bright and colorful world we know from the 1939 film.
Disney announced nearly one year ago that the film was in production. It will feature a cast that includes James Franco as the young wizard, Mila Kunis as the witch Theodora, Rachel Weisz as Kunis’ sister Evanora and Michelle Williams as Glinda, the Good Witch.
Oz the Great and Powerful will fly into theaters March 8, 2013.by Published on 07-03-2012 07:30 PMCategories:

Pixar films are well known for their little tributes and hidden Easter eggs and their latest film BRAVE is no different. Disney released two images today showcasing two of the blink-and-you-missed-it tributes that are in the first-ever Pixar fairytale.
Every single Pixar film but The Incredibles has featured a cameo by the Pizza Planet Truck and in Brave you can see it in the witches cottage as she whittles away on a bear figure. The second image we have for you today shows James P. Sullivan, also known as SULLY from Monster's Inc. has his likeness carved as a decorative pattern into more woodwork in the witch's cottage.by Published on 07-02-2012 01:00 PMCategories:

Disney recently offered a first look at PAPERMAN the new cartoon short in development at the Walt Disney Animation Studios. Set to debut in theaters on November 2 prior to all screenings of "Wreck It Ralph," the innovative new short is done in traditional 2D animation style with both hand-drawn and computer-generated techniques to create a minimalist black and white short film.
The story follows a lonely young man in mid-century New York City, whose destiny takes an unexpected turn after a chance meeting with a beautiful woman on his morning commute. Convinced the girl of his dreams is gone forever, he gets a second chance when he spots her in a skyscraper window across the avenue from his office. With only his heart, imagination and a stack of papers to get her attention, his efforts are no match for what the fates have in store for him.
Testing and adjusting according to audience preferences and tastes is not anything new to the entertainment industry and Disneyland Resort is no less immune. Although Cars Land and its attractions, shopping, and dining have been receiving rave reviews, the summer entertainment in the land has not been racing along as quickly.
Both of the new shows in Cars Land (DJ's Dance & Drive and Red to the Rescue) have had a shaky start and are both in need of some fine-tuning.by Published on 06-29-2012 07:30 PMCategories:
