June 14th was the media premiere Grand Opening of Cars Land at Disney California Adventure. The momentous occasion was marked by a Red Carpet and Premiere Party leading to the grand unveiling of the new land. We'll have a full update later with pictures and interviews but for now enjoy this quick taste of the evening's festivities!

The Voices of Liberty made a surprise unannounced appearance at Disneyland this morning. They performed a beautiful number in front of the Main Street Opera House then invited everyone inside to the see them perform before Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln.
Prior to Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, the a capella group performed a 20 minute set singing a variety of wonderful patriotic tunes that guests familiar with the group from EPCOT would likely be familiar with including "Shenandoah," "Fifty Nifty United States," and "God Bless America."

A new commercial released to promote the upcoming Cars Land expansion has been placed on Youtube and it features the film's familiar characters enjoying the new attractions in their home away from home.
Follow Sally and Lighting McQueen as they race through Radiator Springs Racers. See Luigi, Guido and Fillmore literally float on air on Luigi's Flying Tires. Disney California Adventure has stepped up with the big boys and as of June 15 will have its own official Twitter and Facebook page offering guests live tweets and updates about the park schedules. This leaves the Disneyland Twitter and Facebook pages to focus more on Disneyland proper while little sister park gets to play on her own.
