Yesterday, June 1, Disney California Adventure welcomed back the Pixar Play Parade after a long hiatus caused by the construction of the new Buena Vista Street expansion. The new parade route begins near the new Tower of Terror gate and winds its way through Hollywood Land before taking its previous route up through the park to the Paradise Pier gate.
The new route makes DCA's parade route the longest in any Disney Park. Changes to the parade include the permanent removal of the Ratatouille unit, a new float for the Incredibles unit, and minor changes to staging and choreography to the parade as a whole. Lightning McQueen and Mater once again cap off the parade, they may also get a temporary Cars Land advert if Disney is blowing it out with synergy.

This past week Disney launched a new episode of their "Every Role a Starring Role" video series. This week's episode follows the role of a Stage Technician for Fantasmic. Apart from hearing the Cast Member talk about his duties, we get some magic-spoiling looks at the backstage areas for Fantasmic! including the hydraulic lifts for Mickey and Maleficent as well as a look at the hidden light rigs on the Columbia.
Be fore-warned this video definitely offers a look behind the curtain of Fantasmic! so if you prefer to keep the show a wonderful figment of Mickey's imagination that unfolds out of nowhere then you might want to skip!
...You also will not want to scroll down to look at the pics after the jump!

It's strange, I don't quite know what to say about John Carter. It's definitely not a bad movie but I just cannot say that it's a good one either. If I had to rank I'd definitely place it above Prince of Persia as the end-credits rolled on both of these films, I was left feeling disappointed that there just wasn't more emotions within me that were stirred.
Which emotions? I'm not entirely sure, but after watching John Carter --which is available on Blu-ray and DVD June 5th--I felt a certain sense of a lack of completeness.by Published on 05-31-2012 10:31 AMCategories:
