In continuing viral efforts to promote Disney-Pixar's upcoming MONSTER'S UNIVERSITY, a few viral videos for the actual university depicted in the film have been released. Playing on smarmy recruitment type commercials, the videos give us a look at the beautiful visuals for the film as well as some of the primary characters who've been revealed in official trailers thus far.
Directed by Dan Scanlon, Monster's University features the voices of John Goodman, Billy Crystal, Steve Buscemi, Dave Foley, Julia Sweeney, Joel Murray and Peter Sohn.

A record breaker this is not but Sam Raimi's OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL is extimated to pull in the expected $80 million target amount. The film opened with a strong start on Friday taking in more than $24 million domestically according to Box Office Mojo.
Overall, 2013 has been rife with disappointing box offices but this opening for OZ is the biggest of the year thus far and in the top 5 of movies that have ever opened in March. It's Friday opening alone nearly made more than John Carter's entire March opening weekend. Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, by contrast, also opened in March but with more than a $116 million take.by Published on 03-09-2013 07:20 PM
Earlier this week, we commented in our BD review or WREC IT RALPH that one of our favorite features was a bonus feature called Disney Intermission. Chris Hardwick from the Nerdist narrates an Easter egg extravaganza of fun facts from the film.
We won't give away everything but we present eight things you probably missed when you saw WRECK IT RALPH.by Published on 03-08-2013 03:00 PM
Wreck it Ralph was a contender this year at the Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature and while the shiny gold Oscar went to Disney-Pixar's BRAVE instead, the film is definitely with its own merit. Within WRECK IT RALPH, we find several distinct worlds that have been brought to life like never before.
In celebration of the film's release on Blu-ray and DVD, we have a great feature talking with several of the visual development artists from the film who helped conceptualize the video game worlds and characters in Wreck-It Ralph.by Published on 03-08-2013 12:00 PM

Today we're happy to present our interview with Joey King, the talented young actress who voiced China Girl in OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL which hits theaters today! Joey shared a bunch of great stories from her involvement in the film including her CG transformation, acting through a marionette, playing pranks on James Franco with Zach Braff, and taking home a special brick from the Yellow Brick Road!
King is an exuberant young lady and we're excited to share our chat with her today!by Published on 03-07-2013 09:00 PMCategories:
OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL may be a visit to a land we already know, but the journey to Oz has never been so vibrant and exciting. One part prequel and another part relaunch, the film is an ambitious adventure taking us 30 years before Dorothy drops in for a visit.
The new story is filled with much more action and suspense than we've seen before and it introduces us to the influential characters of Oz. And while the saccharine bubble-gum world of the 1939 classic this is not, the creators did well with their strides to play homage to the original movie.by Published on 03-07-2013 05:00 PM
James Franco was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today. Not so coincidentally, the ceremony happened a day before the release of Disney's epic blockbuster OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL. He was joined by friend and colleague Seth Rogen who has shared the screen with Franco for several projects including the upcoming THIS IS THE END. Others in attendance included Oz co-star Joey King and brother Dave Franco.
