The Walt Disney Studios were working on overtime this weekend, not only did they launch three separate high-profile TV spots during the Super Bowl but their big films also released some online goodies, as well.

For OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL, Disney launched an underwhelming "takeover" of Disney.com with the Wicked Witch. The bright spot was a nifty, albeit seemingly without purpose, animated version of their Wicked Witch poster.

In a world of toddlers with tiaras, fierce dance crews, and public singing auditions, television today is a lot different than it was 15 years ago. Gone are the days of television blocks dedicated to wholesome family television that was actually watched by the whole family. Where water-cooler tv recaps used to circle around Urkel's latest hijinx, Michelle Tanner's latest catch phrase, or Tim Taylor's latest construction flub, the conversations now center around which singer was voted through or which trashy television bimbo was eliminated.

The Disney Channel is looking to bring back the classic family sitcom or at least play homage to it with a new pilot in development, Girl Meets World. If the name sounds familiar that's because it's a sequel to Boy Meets World which aired from 1993 to 2000. The title characters from that original show, Ben Savage (Cory Mathews) and Danielle Fishel (Topanga Lawrence) have agreed to retrurn, this time as the show's parents. The high school sweethearts are now in their 30s and have two children of their own trying to survive childhood.

In a world of "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Haunted Mansion" as movie titles, it comes as no surprise that Walt Disney Studios has taken another name from the Disney Parks; this time it's for their upcoming George Clooney flik, TOMORROWLAND.

The Walt Disney Studios officially announced today that the live-action release previously known as 1952 will be titled Tomorrowland. The film will be released domestically on December 19, 2014.

The futuristic flick has been in development for quite some time and while details are still quite sparse, there's no indication that the film will be influenced by anything necssarily found at the Disney Parks in the land of Tomorrowland. That said, it's almost a guarantee that the movie's success could definitely influence what happens to the land for the future.
