Although Disney just recently released the official movie slate for 2013 for the Walt Disney Studios, we have just received confirmation of another film being released next year... Disney PLANES.

Originally slated for a direct-to-home release in Spring of 2013, it is now confirmed that the spin-off to Disney Pixar's CARS will now be released into theaters.

Confusingly, the spin-off is NOT a Pixar project. Instead, it is being released under the Disney umbrella as originally intended when it was first announced. Starring Jon Cryer in the lead role as Dusty, Disney PLANES is set for theatrical release on August 9, 2013.
