The Disney Parks Blog has released a teaser portrait of "a sneak peek of one of their upcoming Walt Disney World Resort projects." There have been talks of an interactive queue coming to Walt Disney World's Big Thunder Mountain queue and this image could potentially fit quite well in that setting, especially with the teaser that “His obsession with gold will ultimately lead him to ruin.”
Bearing an unmistakable resemblance to Disney Imagineer Tony Baxter, the painting is very likely supposed to portray the greedy prospector who founded the mining town on Big Thunder Mountain. As the attraction's backstory goes, the sacred lands are cursed and thus the spirits take over the trains to scare off greedy miners.by Published on 11-09-2012 10:15 PM
