Tons of toys were on display during Star Wars Celebration but we were clued in on one that caught our attention: The Force Trainer II Hologram Experience. This toy from Star Wars Science and Uncle Milton, actually harnesses your brain waves to simulate the feelings of the Force.
With Yoda as your guide, you earn your keep from inexperienced Padawan to Jedi Master. How exactly does this work? To be honest, we're not entirely certain and we suspect that the actual science behind it is very technical and perhaps not all that interesting.
So from game player's perspective... you're using the Force to change things with your mind! CRAZY!byPublished on 04-19-2015 01:30 PM
In a truly fascinating, entertaining, and pure non-stop unadulterated surge of joy, James Arnold Taylor introduced audiences to the world of voice acting in his TALKING TO MYSELF panel at the Star Wars Celebration last night.
If any one in attendance last night didn't know who he was before the panel last night, they are very likely to have walked away at least remembering him by personality. Taylor is an unstoppable force and you might not have heard of him but you have almost certainly HEARD him. He's the voice of countless characters and voice-overs that it is quite certainly impossible to have not heard his voice at least once before.
On the very first day of the Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, All Nippon Airways (ANA) unveiled the design for a new commercial plane that it created in collaboration with Disney and LucasFilm with the iconic look of R2-D2.
The ANA Star Wars™ plane is expected to make daily trips to its network of Tokyo based flights starting this fall.
Star Wars spawns inspiration from many sources. For many engineer-minded folk and even just casual hobbists, the temptation to build an actual life-size functioning R2 unit is too hard to resist. As luck would have it, the Star Wars Celebration is the perfect breeding ground for these crafty Droid builders to congregate, share notes, and check out each other's work.
One of the first things anyone coming to the Star Wars Celebration encountered was the real-life cars customized into Star Wars inspired super vehicles reminiscent of the types of customizations seen on Hot Wheels toys.
Upon entering Hall D to collect badges, guests could up to and around the various fan-built cars showing off their passion for Star Wars with mods including battle scars, paint-jobs, and even Droid-assistance hatches!byPublished on 04-18-2015 10:40 PM
Although it's yet to gain the steam of the popular Clone Wars animated series, Star Wars Rebels on Disney XD is well on its way to becoming a new darling for Lucas Film. With a storyline set inbetween Episodes III and IV, it explores the rise of the Empire and the journey of a certain group of Rebels who are fighting for good in a galaxy far, far away.
With a second season just around the corner the show is catching at a fever pitch and the panel today at Star Wars Celebration showed just how passionate people are about the new television show.
