Remember that Disney wants to keep the current Tram Roadway to allow service to the Simba Lot (and why Disney just finished a project that includes a "new" Tram Loading area behind Paradise Pier and access to Disneyland Drive.
So the structure being built is basically the closest location that is available for the Barn. So yes, I am pretty sure that will become the barn. (They will build a set of tracks that cross the Tram Route).
And it is in the North East corner, basically next to the current Timon Tram loading area, basically behind ToT.
Here is a satellite photo with the approximate location of the new structure.

oh ok that aerial view looks more like from what i had heard although it still seem to far south for the location that i was told.
i got bit confused by that third photo you had pointed out. It is a bit difficult to tell exactly what you were pointing to. The construction in that photo runs north to south and is quite a large area. I had heard that it is suppose to be other backstage structures.
From what i understand from you then is that the northern area of that construction zone will house the barn.
so maybe you could tell us what the construction directly behind the tower is? It is north of the tram route and is not in your photos. that construction area runs west to east and is a narrow section
here
map
(sometimes the highlighted area gets thrown off to the east, just click on it and drag left and it will relocate itself to the right location that i assigned it. basically the small highlighted area is right behind the tower and netx to the backstage parking of Tower)
that location makes more sense than building a barn outside the parks boundaries and having to cross a tram route. I doubt They would want to have to block the tram route everytime they want to bring the trolleys in or out of the park if they need to take out the trolley. I just do not see that happening. if that was the case then a tram route would be built on the eastern edge of the construction zone avoiding any paths with trolley tracks.
Also like i stated a few weeks back when the construction started a few entrance lanes were removed to add a new fencing but i was told that was not true and that it was "tram route preparation" from the looks of it it seems like what i was told was correct. Lanes were removed to add supports for the new park boundary.
i have a strong feeling that the tram route will follow the tall fencing. There is plenty of room next to it. In your section picture it clearly shows the entrance lanes that were removed and the extra space that could use a tram route. They might even place it on the outer side of the fencing with barriers seperating the tram route from the left over entrance lanes. with the four toll booths eventually decerasing to two or maybe even zero. the road would just be used for rerouting cars to the mickey and friend sparking structure or as a "U" turn area like it is being used now to force guests to AGW.

A CM just posted this in regards to the structure over at Micechat, in answer to "
Do you have confirmation that this is the Red Car building?"
http://micechat.com/forums/disneylan...post1055418782
Now of course, I can't vouch for the poster, but it matches up with info that other RT&P CM's have told me..... (RT&P = Resort Transportation and Parking)
I can confirm this. I work in the RT&P department so I know pretty much whats going on.

Interesting little factoid from this morning, found at the OC Register web site....
http://ocresort.freedomblogging.com/...roperty/11219/
Question: I was at Del Taco today and fences are going up and lanes are being marked in the parking lot. One of the men said it’s suppose to be parking for Disneyland. Anyone heard anything about this? Just wondering, as it’s my favorite spot to go for lunch, because there’s lot of space to park and eat and relax (with a few bums hanging out at Flakey Jakes – but I keep my distance). Thanks.
Answer: Actually, Disney spokeswoman Suzi Brown said Disney has just signed a lease with the owner of the Cowboy Boogie property off of Katella Avenue and the I-5 freeway to use the space as a staging area for continued construction of the $1 billion California Adventure expansion.
Workers are preparing the lot to be a security checkpoint for all of the trucks hauling in I-beams, rebar, wood and concrete to move the massive development forward.

i doubt the lease would last long enough for a staging ground for a third park. a third park is going to hinge on the success of this expansion any probably wont even begin serious planning till 2015 and we probably wont see a new park until 2020 at the earliest.
