I don't think they'll have any ride vehicles there for quite a while, they dont need them until the track is put together. If they do have the vehicles built already they may be testing them in another place.

I am beyond excited for this too! I really think that they maybe should have thought things through before they built DCA. I mean, make it more like a Disney/Pixar land from the beginning rather than having to go through all this remodeling now. They had the right idea with "A Bug's Land" but they should have just made it a Disney/Pixar park from the start. Seems like that's what they are going for now anyways. With all that space, I'm sure they could have found proper "lands" for all the Disney/Pixar movies and for those to come. All in all though, I really think making this park more Disney is what it needed. I mean no offense to anyone when I say this, but if you live in California, or near it, why would you want a park dedicated to California, when you could just visit the places themselves and not have to pay a thing or very little? Just a thought.

Its interesting how things panned out since they first started plans for a westcot in the early 90's then scaled the plans down alot and made Disney's California Adventure. Back then Pixar was a small operation so alot of the Pixar movies we know today didn't exist back then, Things really started to turn around when Disney bought Pixar in 2006, thats why we've been seeing more and more Pixar related attractions plus John Lasseter the founder and CEO of Pixar is now Chief Creative Officer of Disney.
So I'm excited about what they're doing to the park now. Check out www.disneyscaliforniaadventure.com to see whats going on in the park.

FYI...Disney is offering an "Open Mouse" for the new backstage buildings at DCA for CM's today and tomorrow. (One is next to Monsters, Inc. attraction, the rest are the green buildings near Harbor and Disney Way.

    The 5 buildings are..

    Banquet Kitchen

    East Central Maintenance Facility

    Entertainment Production Building

    Ops/Security/Custodial Building

    Red Car Barn.

Thanks Darkbeer. I was wondering what those green buildings were used for.

Just posting this for anyone who hasn't seen it. The video posted by Disney here: http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blo...dventure-park/ has a bunch of stuff about the DCA expansion. (Interestingly it's hosted by one of the guys who plays Aladdin at the musical in the Hyperion). Anyway, in the video there's an overhead blueprint/layout of Radiator Springs Racers. I used that image to make this layout:

(Ignore the little section of dotted blue line - it's nothing.)

    1) Unload
    2) Loading area (4 stations)
    3) Waterfall
    4) Luigi's (new tires - one of two options before the "big race")
    5) Ramone's (paint job - the other option)
    6) Bunny hop (the one that's under construction with the concrete trough)
    7) Final 45 degree banked turn before the finish
