fair enough, especially since I used to just ignore it and now am considering strolling through the fountain if I start to overheat :P

still I think most facilities should be used whenever possible, I'm curious about how the bands will work there

especially when they have events like new years were they'll probably want a band or dance party around the Pier but also have a WoC showing at some point? Or would they not use WoC much and just do light pyro and minor fountain effects without projection?

If they built that stage in, with the surrounding boardwalk area, why not do character greeting shows like Tokyo Disney...

Tall-trunked trees would be nice, but they do take decades to grow. Disney doesn't have time to wait and any obscuration in the viewing area will mean people not being able to enjoy the show. At its heart it's a standing room only pad for a nighttime watershow - if it gets used in the day, then good...but I don't think sitelines should be compromised to make the park more appealing in the day.

However, like someone else said - they should cast more trellises (prettier ones) and install them in other areas on the North side of the lagoon. DCA could use more flora overall - flora in unexpected places.

I'm not sure the stage is big enough but that would be so cool to fit in there

not really the thing I'd be too terribly interested in but it would be great for so many people and work very well for the space.

Suppose I'm just used to the traditional DCA/Band mentality

I'm still curious about how New Years crowds can be managed since WoC isn't like Illuminations and apparently won't be a kind of huge capacity show at all.

Hey guys, haven’t posted for a while and don’t know if this has been ask already. In terms of the water fountain play area in Paradise Park, what guarantee do we have that it won’t go away like cosmic waves did in Tomorrowland? Just a thought I had since I sorta miss cosmic waves, even though they had there fair share of kiddy "accidents."

Cosmic Waves was on a mesh type platform instead of concrete and I think it kept wearing away due to the chlorine in the water. I think they've learned their lesson from that since Dot's Puddle Park in Bug's Land has been ok so far.

Found a pic of it on MousePlanet...

Weird that the areas in Epcot never had that problem and I think they've existed longer.

As for the stage, it has a hatch - could totally become Splashtacular 2.0 with the fountains behind it. Why is the hatch important? Where else would you put the T-rex thing?

I don't think the size of the stage is that big of an issue. They could use the surrounding boardwalk alongside of it too.
The TDS shows don't necessarily use a traditional stage...in fact, their little atmosphere/character greeting shows don't really use them, just the actual areas along the water.
And it looks like the layout of Paradise Park was made with something like some live entertainment in mind.

I think there are a lot of possibilities - character greeting shows with Mickey and the gang in super colorful period costumes along with some other character friends of the land...little live bands themed to the period...etc...
    lots of possibilities.
