No, like a world class resort - not some hangout for locals.

The same thing Universal Orlando is striving to do along with WDW.

[QUOTE=1FoolishMortal;17345079]Testing video of the show from the PPH (SPOILERS AHEAD, so don't say you haven't been warned...).

This view being from high above the "backside" of the WOC, I wonder if it will be equally as impressive when seen from ground level there? And the soundtrack as well. And if Disney were to offer premium viewing from the cages atop the Fun Wheel, well I'll be the first to get my woolies, mittens and parka, and sign up.

I guess we are going to have a difference of opinions here, I believe Disneyland is a world class resort, as well as Disney World, they just have different operations.

I come to the Disneyland Resort, and I'm from worldwide.
Just because we're at war, doesn't mean we can't be civilised...

    From the official press release...
    • “Spectrum Splash”: Beverages in light-up souvenir glasses with a colorful choice of flavors – strawberry red, blueberry blue, or sour Granny Smith apple green.
    • Light-Up Cotton Candy”: White cotton candy with a colorful swirl, on an illuminated wand that lights the cotton candy from inside.
    • Multi-Colored & Flavored Popcorn: A delicious treat that comes in three flavors – red cherry, blueberry and purple grape – and mixed in with regular kettle corn, all served in a Disney California Adventure see-through “World of Color” souvenir popcorn bucket.
    • Tropical Mist Cocktail (for adults): It’s a passion fruit and mango liqueur with coconut rum – and a light-up swizzle stick. Available at the Cove Bar and Ariel’s Grotto restaurant.
    • Even More Fun: Light-Up Balloons – transparent balloons with light-up “World of Color” art inside; Light-Up Bangle Bracelets; and souvenir “World of Color” travel mugs and sipper cups.

I'm addicted to Disneyland. Disneyland hobbies are expensive. If I become a bum people are going to say "Don't give him money, he's just gonna use it on Disneyland."

I know this is a bit late to the game, but I think the point must be made:

The burden of proof is on you. You must prove your case. You cannot just make claims and then defend it with, "how... do you know it's not a fact?"

I think Disneyland is a world class destination, but I wouldn't qualify it as a resort destination yet. They're working on it, though.

But KNRG is right. It is more of a locals destination at the moment.

Looks like prices have changed yet again for the dining plans...

Wine Country Trattoria is $39.99 for adults and $18.99 for children while Ariel's Grotto starts at $29.99 for adults and $15.99 for children.

Also, the meal at the Trat includes a pairing of wine.

Yes, and by those same WDW standards, 2001 DCA was a fine full-day park.

"WDW and DLR should be operated the same way."

If this logic was correct, why are they having to spend a single penny to "fix" DCA? Why are they having to build WOC at all?

If the entire history of DCA teaches you one single thing, it is this: DLR and WDW have 2 very different audiences that behave 2 very different ways. That is the only reason the makeover (and WOC) are happening.
