I believe the projection domes have been missing since the earthquake a while back.

    Well, quick summary:
The ticket was a park-hopper so I did go to DL for a little while before going to DCA. The 10:15 showing of WOC was only for the prize winners and their guests.

After the show, everyone could go to the Paradise Pier area (rest of park was closed) for a DJ and dancing, pictures with Goofy, Woody, Buzz or Mickey and "free play" at all the boardwalk games. That part was fun. They gave away free World of Color stuff to anyone that played whether you won or lost. They had tattoos, pens, light up balls and bracelets. (Helped me make peace with the kids for going without them.) Every person also got a voucher for a free snack and free drink but WOW the lines for those at the ODV carts were really long!

Verizon had a "lounge "booth set up where they gave away some reusable shopping bags and glowsticks. The bags were all gone by the time I got there so not sure what was in them. They also had a drawing for a free Droid 2. I think they were also sponsoring a photo area where you could get your pic taken and they printed it right then and gave it to you.

Vitamin Water also had a "lounge" where they gave away free bottles of Vitamin Water.

All the rides in the pier area were running with really short lines so I was really bummed TSMM is closed right now!

One other nice touch is that the fountains from WOC were running rainbow colored the whole time the party was going on which was really pretty.

All in all, a great time but boy are my legs and feet tired today from all that walking!!

    Post-show:

After the show, all the CMs working the show stand on and around the planter after the show and wave goodbye. You also have a bunch of people posing because it seems like everyone there wants to take a picture of them. It's surprisingly quick to get out of there, but the picture takers help slow it down. So I've been seeing pictures of the lagoon lately and it's not pretty. The water looks so grimy and the equipment that was shiny and new has turned brown and looks like it's rusting already. Is there any planned maintenance for the "stage" or a better filtration/dying of the water?

Is that a good thing? Haven't seen the show, but on pictures the domes look like they distract from the show and are actually no good at all?

They're great during the Wall-E scene, awesome for 3 seconds at the end of the Buzz scene, and then worthless everywhere else.

I'm still wondering why they were gone for so long... I can think of 3 reasons-

    1) They were broken. I personally saw them break multiple times while they were still putting the platform together. The black backings of the domes themselves (the flat side of the half spheres) broke off and workers would just pick it up and throw it away. While the domes 'worked', perhaps they needed to replace them to fix this?

    2) They were stained. I think this is the likely cause... due to the problems with the water in the lagoon, the domes stained to where they had a green/brownish hue to them from the gunk and the water line stood out perfectly on them. Pretty blegh. I assume that they're replacing them now as the water is on the upswing of its nastiness and it will no longer stain them.

    3) The supposed platform damage prevented them from working properly (maybe even damaging them more beyond #1) and they've now fixed the platform to where they'll be good to go again. It's a fact that something is wrong with the platform, particularly the middle one, as it has not been lowered since well before the show began. Some claim it was earthquake damage, but I disagree as it was having this problem well before that minor quake.

So, anyways, good to see the domes are back... now we should see how long until the platform works as originally intended...

Also, anyone know what's up with that Tron lighting they've been putting on the coaster late at night?

Very curious about the lagoon water situation. Considering that the water is exposed to ducks, seagulls, and insects, not to mention nasty human life, and despite its appearance, there are still workers in scuba gear or simple snorkels regularly working in the water, which would seem to indicate that potential health hazard levels are at least acceptable to them, if not OSHA. At the ROA, during the recent draining and refurb there were reports of how awful the odor was as the last water dried up, yet the canoes bring Park guests directly in contact with the water. Also Fantasmic pre- and post-show workers go into the water, tho I never see them actually submerge. As the expression goes, maybe there's something in the water?

I honestly prefer the show without. The only time they are of any use to me is in the Toy Story segment and even then I'm happy without. Would prefer if they had the audience lanterns turn green to simulate their heads.
