Thanks guys! So, at least looking at the concept model, the shells will be different. Our concept looks more like a shell themed doom buggy while the shells at Epcot look to be on a slightly different type of system with more of a circular platform under the shell.

DCA's appears that it will be more rounded and cartoony versus Epcot's which besides the color scheme have a more realistic shape and detailing.

DCA's is more like riding around in a giant pair of Ariel's seashell bra.

Joking aside though, seashells are a recurring motif in old art deco design and architecture so it should be interesting to see this all come together on Paradise Pier.

Id bet the shells that we can see in some of the pictures of the viewing area are going to be the same as the ones in the ride (at least detailing wise) just to create the continuity and flow between the ride and the water

Yeah, the Nemo ones just have doors that close in the front like Horizons did, so it has no safety restraints. From what I've seen, the Little Mermaid clams will face forward like the Doombuggies instead of sideways like the Clammobiles, so I'm guessing that it will have a lap bar that comes down in the front.

id imagine they go w something nautical or like mermaids but if they go w the mermaid look, thats something that could look really tacky really fast while the nautical (like white and blue, with anchors and rope, or the outfits that the sailors are wearing in the little mermaid) could be more of the look like you are about to go under the sea

i think you're right, they'll go with a sailor-esque uniform... "mer-people" costumes would get old...

When Ariel had her Grotto near the Matterhorn, there was a costume for handlers with the blue and white stripes. I imagine that that would probably work for the attraction, too.
