I suppose thats fair enough. I am waiting to see what scale the effects are on, if its done well enough I'll probably mostly agree . I do wish we'd eventually get something Pirates length though at some point in the future.

It is true that DCA's longest ride is probably 5 1/2 minutes long at best, and DCA does need much longer rides. I think the best candidate for a long dark ride would be in Hollwood Pictures Backlot because there is a lot of unused space there. It looks like after Cars Land, WDI is setting their sights on Hollywood, so it would be nice if they build a nice lond darkride over there.

Dark rides are something that still are missing from DCA, and that still needs to be fixed.

maybe, but I'm not convinced they'd part with Monsters inc so soon, and with that attraction in the way I'm not sure how they'd use any of that "empty" space .

Also after a few trips to WDW I can no longer consider Great Movie ride as a good idea :P I think it dates too quickly and lacks an immersive plot to draw one in. But DCA does need SOMETHING that I can sit and really get pulled into a different world for a longer period of time.

I'm hoping Mermaid does at least FEEL like I did that which I know some short attractions can do. I just don't want every attraction in DCA to feel quite as abridged (not that mermaid does but Tower often does).

A great movie ride that goes through all the famous Disney animated movies would be something to behold.

Not to derail this thread too much off topic, but I was also wondering if they could put in a EMV ride taking you through the dark alleys of Hollywood/LA. Since it's supposed to be set in the 20s/30s, they could easily theme it around the mob. Would be a cool, different ride for DCA.

I thought of an EMV ride with an earthquake theme in somewhere like north hollywood where you escape from the city or something like that.

I still say if any Pixar franchise deserves to be in the parks, it's the Incredibles. They could either set it before the Supers went into hiding (40s retro? hard for me to tell) or in the "modern times" of the movie, which are sort of anachronistic early 60s (judging by the flatscreen on the wall in the Parr's house). I think they'd have to push the retro stuff for it to be really cool, though. Black and white, mono-sound intro video, retro cars and clothing, etc.

I'm sure they'd NEVER go with the 40s theme, though, since the Parr's kids wouldn't be alive yet. God forbid we exclude them. :P

(Something to think about: When Main Street was built, it was based on what Main Streets looked like about 50 years prior, right? Well if we did that now, we'd have a 1960s-themed Main Street. Awesome!)
