I don't think they need to be redesigned. If the new LM building is designed to look like an "extension" of the Palace of Fine Arts dome, then it should fit in nicely with the Victorian buildings where the restrooms are being relocated to. Just like the real Palace in San Francisco.

Yeah, I agree, they can stay and it should look fine. I'd rather the money be spent on other more pressing matters.

I just hope that doesnt mean a San Francisco based district would be limited to restrooms.

I have a feeling that in the future, if a SF district is in consideration, it wouldn't be where the buildings are currently located. There's not enough room there to do anything substantial.

Well, the SF theme will be gone it seems no matter what, but I see this as a part of PP now that will just have a bit of a SF area feel. To me it will just be a little nod to the past but should still feel in theme enough with the rest of the pier to look fine. I do agree with the premise that DCA should get a legitimate, well themed SF district at some point though. That is one of the main things that the park should have always had and is still missing in phase one. I really hope a future phase will add more SF theming as it could be a great land.

It either will stay as is or be themed to even more "victorianish." You also have to keep into account how the Grand Californian DVC units are being themed behind the Mermaid Attraction. I'm sure they would want not only the building behind the ride to fit in, but the building housing the bathrooms beside it as well.

Well, the new design of the hotel is a little more row house looking too so I think it will look ok basically as it is. They could repaint it just to give it a slightly new feel.

Maybe even alter it by painting them with a more seaside color palette. That would be nice.

Haven't the buildings' paint-schemes already been dramatically altered once before? Seems to me that they don't look like how they were originally.

Yes, the colors have been changed or at the very leased were altered. I think this was sometime around the 50th celebration, or during the time Matt Ouimet was running things. His team had a thing for "plussing" paint schemes, and this structure is evident of that.
