I remember the San Francisco buildings got a lot of new gold leaf added to accent parts on the facades and some reworking of the paint scheme. Same for the Palace of Fine Arts rotunda.

I remember that as well. As a matter of fact they added gold leaf to a lot of facades, such as to building on Main Street as well as the Golden Horseshoe.

A good sized area? It had one attraction, bathrooms, an empty building and a boring plaza area and that's it.

Pacific Wharf is more closely modeled off of Monterey's Cannery Row. But Fisherman's Wharf is not too far off.

I got quite a chuckle out of this post. Not to offend any 'Friscans, but my opnion of the city is so low that making bathrooms represent it seems wholly appropriate!

I'd take San Francisco over L.A. any day. Though I hate driving in there with an undying passion...

I swear you can't make a left turn anywhere on that peninsula.
