Did Walt have any connection with San Francisco? Given the direction the park is taking it doesn't seem to leave any room for it. I love San Francisco and there is no way to capture the feel of the city in a space as small as the restrooms. I would rather they forget any SF section if it is going to be done badly.

Oh and a SF left turn is three rights. Fun when visiting, lame if you are a resident.

But thats the only real kid area, its like toontown with different rides, i like it, i actually thought they should expend it by adding a roller coaster.

I agree, even though there's not much there for the over 7 set it's one of the best lands in the park. I'd love to see Heimlich's expanded into a more proper ride to balance out the land.

I'm addicted to Disneyland. Disneyland hobbies are expensive. If I become a bum people are going to say "Don't give him money, he's just gonna use it on Disneyland."

Maybe the Wharf can be torn down and built elsewhere. Any San Francisco area needs to be by the water!

so does a wharf! Cant just move the wharf away from the water and put a SF area there.

I just don't think DCA needs a SF section. I like the direction they are going with more imaginative ideas. Not just another real city created in the park.

i think the wharf should stay and they should build a victorian San Francisco themed hotel in the hotel district (possibly a complete replacement of the Paradise Pier Hotel). i think about all the highly themed hotels at disney world and disneyland paris and it makes me want more of that in anaheim.

fyi... check out the concept art for a San Francisco themed hotel once proposed for vegas:

Exactly. Hollywood works as it is less about the city and more the dreams and movies that created the hollywood state of mind. The new LA entrance...it's not blantantly LA but rather a representation of Walt Disney's arrival with the carathy, red cars, and the name(which btw the street is in burbank not LA). Love SF but there isnt much connection to Disney and it doesnt that broad state of mind. I think the wharf area is great and I hope they keep and expand upon it.
