I think the addition is just for storage, but it will be interesting to see why some people keep saying they will be the largest restrooms in any Disney park. I find the restrooms in other ares of DCA bigger than most of the ones in Disneyland and the one in the parking structure is also quiet large.

Funny i did the same thing

Yeah, on the rendering they highlighted just a little less than half of that space for the restrooms. I know they use the space for the FWF and they also used it as the press staging area for the TSMM opening. They probably have a lot of mixed uses for that space and with the little mermaid attraction opening right next door I almost wouldn't be surprised if they don't turn it into a shop or restaurant and use it as a multi-purpose space and rent it out for private events.... or turn it into a DCA dream suite.

What is the rest of the building connected to golden dreams and why is it not being used for the new little mermaid ride?

Its not part of a building, it is actually a paved backstage area which is more likely needed as a maintenance yard. There is only a small building in the northern area of the space. Not sure what is in that building but it could be electrical equipment or pumps

Whatever it wasn't being used for with Golden Dreams is probably what it still won't be used for with Little Mermaid. The park does need backstage areas!

I forgot to mention in the above post that the art super imposed on the aerial picture does not seem to be the final layout of the attraction show building. That layout looks more like the one for the original design they had once released. The new one does not seem to have the curvature semi circle area in the front of the building

I'd say three to four months to get the full framework at least. The details might take longer, but if the Boardwalk games and the Screamin' sign are any indication they won't take that long.
Yes, our world has indeed become a world of motion. We have engineered marvels that take us swiftly over land and sea, through the air, and into space itself. And still bolder and better ideas are yet to come. Ideas that will fulfill our age old dream to be free. Free in mind. Free in spirit. Free to follow the distant star of our ancestors to a brighter tomorrow. - World of Motion (1982-1996)

I'd say that's about right too. It will take longer than the game buildings of course but the actual framing always goes really fast and suddenly a building takes shape. Then it always seems to take forever after that before you can start to put finishes on because they're doing all the electrical and plumbing rough-ins and the HVAC ducts and all the interior framing. Construction is always funny like that, they'll be working in the ground for a long time, then suddenly bam, there's a building formed, and then again a long time until it's done.
