So are the new exhibits for the blue sky cellar supposed to be opening in June?

I wonder if they'll have the 3-D models of the attraction we've seen in pix in there for peeps to look at.

that would make an awefully short and crowded parade route especially when they have been advertising the return of DEP and its new float and lights for the summer.

I have a feeling they might try to just let the parade run thru the area.

They could have people line up from the sun court all the way down to the golden state buildings then again from mullholland to the gates. The floats would just run a bit faster thru the construction area
I think you are correct actually. They just wont have people in that area of the parade route, and it will continue all the way down to the pier gate like always.

As we've been hearing all along, that is supposedly why some other stuff, like the Fun Wheel boardwalk, did not happen so those funds can be redirected into the main attractions they want to focus on. So I believe Mermaid will still be a huge attraction and will really be a draw for DCA in 2011.

eh be prepared either way. I've heard many in WDI have preference for projections right now and that it was hard enough for Radiator Springs to keep it's count up.

I think Mermaid will be an immersive and highly entertaining experience but it'll probably have only a few AA's though what it will receive will probably be first class.

I could be wrong but that's what I anticipate. I hope to be pleasantly surprised but either way it should be a fun attraction in a place were it will fill a good gap missing for the park right now.

When Mermaid opens the Pier will be one of the most magical places in the entire park.

It is going to be interesting to see how they handle the large crowds looking for a place to eat. With the corn dog castle supposedly now closed and surrounded by walls there is no more eateries in the whole northern area of Paradise Pier.

The boardwalk itself has two small odv area. The hot dog one and the chimichanga one.

of course there is Pizza oom mow mow with its terrible tasting food

Funny how DCA opened with way to many eateries and now it is in need of some

LOL, so true. I'm sure they'll stick some sort of ODV in and around the area.

They are renovating the old Lucky Fortune Cookery to be a larger location for Cocina Cucamunga, so I'm guessing they'd reopen the old Cocina as a new Asian-style offering. There's one more eatery for ya....still not enough, though.
