I think they should have the speakers be part of the lamp like the one in new orleans, or maybe at the base.

There is a great black and white picture and I think it's on MasterGracys Flikker that is black and white and it's the pier and a foggy night right near the bar. It's of the lampost and it looks SOOOO amazing. Like i said color change, removal of suns, and even placing speakers somewhere else would do wonder. Basic design is amazing.

They really are nice lamposts and the big glass lamp covers are cool, if you weren't distracted by the ugly stuff tacked on to them. I would probably paint them either dark green or black becase those are very traditional colors for lamp posts. True light blue instead of the teal could work too, but I'd probably go darker.

But how are these different than the speakers on the lamp posts they have in New Orleans Square? I don't know, I'm just going off of memory here. I don't hear anyone complaining about those speakers. I don't know. Maybe it is just the color, like Uncle Bob said.

The speakers on the NoS lampposts don't stand out nearly as much. They really do blend in very well if you're not looking for them. The Paradise Pier ones, on the other hand, stick out very blatantly and really don't make an attempt to blend in with the lamp's architecture.

The lamps are fine. As mentioned if they ditch the sunbursts and paint them a copper color, they could look really awesome. I personally do not like the teal color either.

Those big speakers were added back just before Luminaria began. All the lamp posts used to only have the smaller speakers when the park opened, like those in the picture above of the fog. A shame they did not put the smaller ones back when Lumiaria was canned. But guess they spent the money, might as well leave them up. May be needed now for World of Color, too..

lookslike they are moving fast in adding the extention to the viewing area. A section of the supports and beams are in place and rebar should be going in soon so they could pour concrete.
