Paradise Pier Construction and Retheming

The guess for the "windows" I have seen and make the most sense are they will possibly be for speakers. They would be inserted in there and the covered with a decorative screen to hide them. Naturally, this could totally be wrong. But I am betting this entire structure will not be a fountain at all as so many keep thinking it will be.

I was also thinking it could be a place for projection windows but I noticed that they don't seem to be positioned in a direction that would project for the show. So maybe speakers are it.

I suppose the thing that's really got me concerned is the scale of this thing next to the dome. And the bright red doesn't seem to quite match the tile on the base in most of the photos.

I was looking at the size yesterday from the PP bridge and the top point of the fountain is nearly as high as the dome's highest point. And yes, the red really does stand out on it's own. Would like to see what the final version/look is.

I really like the look. Exactly the feel they were working for...

From the concept model/artwork, it is a planter...not a fountain. Don't know why so many are calling it a fountain over at those other boards.

I think it is highly conceived as a fountain because of its genearal shape.

I think its also considered a fountain because the base of it appears it may be a fountain.

Plus the model and concept art have so far mostly differed from the original (Hence why the sculpture in general is different)... so it is possible it went from planter to fountain... or even it stayed as a planter. We'll know when it's ready for opening

It looks really, really good to me! But do you think this is THE new logo? It might be just something to put up on the fences?

Yea they've been using that logo since the walls went up closing off the walkway between the Trat and Golden Dreams.

Here's a less shady shot from last week where you can see the HPB and Grizzly logos as well. I believe this is the same logo that they used on the gondolas on the SUNwheel.

That makes since, I'd swear I saw that logo this summer anyways but I don't remember that clearly.

I'm curious though, will they finish the boardwalk facades once they're done with a few of the other projects (viewing area/silly symphonies), or is the whole thing going to remain as is?

it's kinda weird to think about how much is still undone as far as the Pier remake goes I suppose (considering Carsland is already underway)
