I have a feeling the parachute won't appear anytime soon. All of the other concepts and site plans don't include a ride inside the helix.
I'm pretty curious as to what is happening to Screamin'. Obviously signage, queue, and fine details weren't added to the model. I really like the enclosed portions of track before and after the loading/unloading. They really help improve the theme by blocking out the ugly views currently in that area and could potentially include some really cool effects. It's kind of fun to do the impossible. - Walt Disney

Not the rockwork, but there is a tunnel built around the track leading up to the launch. Let me look for a picture.

I'll say it again, I don't think we should "trust" that model in terms of what we should (necessarily) expect to see. I believe it was more of an early stages concept model, meaning it was more about showing some potential ideas.
We've heard nothing about the parachute drop attraction, which probably won't end up going there.
And the rockwork tunnel could fall into the same catetory.
The fact that the Screamin loading area and the beginning of the ride are enclosed could simply have been to "cut corners" with the model building. Instead of detailing something that they didn't have plans to change, they would simplify that part of the model, especially since it's in the corner. They would have even probably left it off the model completely, but they kept it there to give size and position reference.

Yea that Screamin' building looks to be the same basic shape of what is there, just enclosed. Which means the "ugly" umbrellas are gone and we get to wait in the sun! I think they haven't figured out what they are going to do with the queue.

i do prefer the boardwalk, queue and entrance to the funwheel that is in the artwork of the peir at night. The queue in the model looks way to similiar to Toy story midway mania and the hot dog odv. The pier needs to have variety in the designs and color of the architecture
