I hope thats all true. Seems kind of a short time to do it all but I guess the focus would be on those since the Midway building would be done by time the rest starts. The rest of the games and shops should go behind walls in March if they continue ahead with the latest schedule. Everything between the Maliboomer to the Carousel should be done between May and June for soft opening, followed by a big summer bash."Tomorrow will be better for as long as America keeps alive the ideals of freedom and a better life." As i look at the construction of this small structure it makes me wonder if the large screamin structure behind it that holds the main lift and all that piping will get somekind of nice facade overlay like in the artwork.
I sure hope so that archway that people walk under in the boardwalk would look much nicer if it had a nice facade that match the remaining pier facades.
of course i am talking about the nice structure on the far left of the picture. It looks like that tall odv structure will be built in the middle support that divides the main walkway and the midway games walkway

the small structure being built along the waters edge is not in the artwork
I can't wait to see the entrance structure and walkway aorund the sunwheel that is in the artwork. that will really give that area a nice view and hide part of the ugly structure on the wheel

The small rotundas in front of the Sun Wheel will look really nice as well. I wonder if there will be a walkway all the way around the front of the wheel.

i hope so this other picture shows a nice walking area around the wheel and two gazebo type structures to just relax and enjoy the view of the new north side

What was this rumor about the Sun Wheel beams being replaced with straighter ones. It doesn't make sense to me to replace so much steel from precarious locations for little noticeable change.

Look at the mechanics of the Sun Wheel, or any ferris wheel for that matter. There's a reason those outside supports are round. It'd be awfully hard for a wheel to roll from
one straight piece to the next with a smooth operation.

I think he is talking about the rumor that the main round supports would be changed to straight ones.
I think that rumor started when someone saw a piece of artwork that had the main round long supports straight. Kind of like the old construction toys that were sold before.
I really doubt they would go thru the expense and time to completely disassemble the attraction to change the look of the supports.
here i believe it was this one

notice the main supports. They are not round tubes.
If they really wanted that look for the Mickey wheel, i wonder if they could just add a casing on the existing supports.

So... do we think that the removal of the CA Screamin' Mickey head, and the addition of the Sunwheel Mickey Head will happen before Summer?
