Is there a date in which they are expected to go?
And will they be brought back to original colors before they leave?
I want to do a photoshoot with all the letters before they become history.
Does anybody know?
Thanks.![]()

they will probably be gone mid 2009.
Hopefully the YOMD will be gone by then. Rumors have it being extended again.

I hope that it doesn't extend.
As much as I like the dreamy cloudy blue sky scheme, I'd like the orginal for the shoot.

I'm getting less and less excited with this 1.1 billion dollars WDI gets to spend/blow on.
The recent "it's a mall world" makeover rumblings coupled with all the character crap Disney wants to shove everywhere into DCA leaves me a little dissapointed. Maybe Disney really has lost that creative edge?
Something ain't right.

Huh? What does this have to do with anything? We've known for months now almost exactly what the billion dollar update would entail, and you're now getting less excited about it? The It's a Small World thing is the only new "news" about character-infusion that we might not have already known. I don't see how that can possibly change anyone's opinion about the new work being done on DCA.
And although it's off topic (I don't see what any of this has to do with the removal of the DCA letters), I don't think the IASW rehab is going to be as blatant as everyone thinks. I'm banking on something much more subtle and not some extreme makeover.
Maybe it's becuase I've never been a big fan of small world in the first place, even if it is fairly cute, but I'm not in the least bothered by them infusing a little bit of Disney into an attraction that wasn't even created for a Disney park. And before someone accuses me of being "anti-classics," let me say that I adore Carousel of Progress for it's charm and classic 1960's Disney optimism, and hope for it to be forever preserved (despite the many changes that have already occured).

And still bolder and better ideas are yet to come. Ideas that will fulfill our age old dream to be free. Free in mind. Free in spirit. Free to follow the distant star of our ancestors to a brighter tomorrow. - World of Motion (1982-1996)
